I purchased this about six months ago. We have had some very strong winds, but it is not been any problem for the sail. No rips or tears, yet, though one of my ropes did break in some strong wind.

Purchased this sail shade for our pet tortoise and he is very happy with it! The heat and bright sun this summer made it difficult for our tortoise to spend much time outside due to the limited shade available. He is very happy now because a large section of his habitat is now shaded by his new Sun Shade Sail. We have purchased these before for other purposes and have been very pleased with the quality of construction and the durability of the product.

We like to leave our 14' white water raft inflated over the season but the sun is hard on it and a traditional tarp would make it moldy if it rained often. This seems to be the perfect answer to shade/sun protection, allowing rain to fall through but then dry out quickly, and not be affected by strong winds. We used a couple of bungie cords to secure the tarp to the trailer and they stayed where they were the whole season. Raft seems to have been protected from the sun and no mold the whole rainy season. Should be good for another season or two without any problems. I will buy this again!
