Fantastic, just know what you're getting yourself into
If you set your expectations for a lofi device (as one should if buying an eink device) this device is fantastic for the price.Google Play worked out of the box - great news! I installed Libby, Kindle, and Instapaper, all of which worked just fine. I also grabbed Tachiyomi and this device has just the perfect screen size for manga. My previous 6" Xiaomi MiReader was just a bit too small. The automatic screen refreshes are very well done and keep the screen clean looking. It seems it detects total screen content changes and automatically refreshes when that happens. For manga, this was an issue with the MiReader - after 5 or 6 pages, the white areas of the screen would be smeared from previous dark pages and I would have to manually refresh. The lighting system is perfect. It's so even and by creating the perfectly blend between cold and warm lights, you can 100% match the room's lighting. So much so you can forget its on. I wish you could save your own custom presets as it's a little clunky to change the backlighting. While the eink screen limits its moderness (by design), the hardware has modern conveniences. 3GB of RAM is pretty generous for the price and 32 GB built in ROM is adequate, especially since you can add your own micro sd card. Bluetooth is a welcome addition for listening to music, while Spotify doesn't work great on the device, it works well enough to start a playlist or artist radio which is all I'd want it for. Thank goodness it has USB C - I've banned new micro USB devices from the household. The software is pretty well done. Android 11, while not the latest version, matches or exceeds what other companies are putting out. English throughout with minimal errors. I like how you can customize the lockscreen and power off screen contents - you can make the device feel really personal. I like how notifications don't pop up on the screen, instead just a tiny little message icon pops up on top. Helps me focus. It appears Boyue is dedicated to updating the device and improving the software, too. I received the device with 1.3.0 firmware yesterday and today I received the 1.4.0 firmware update that was just released overnight. The only compatible case (sold separately) is really the only downer - it's not fitted correctly around the power button and there's not magnet holding it shut. It doesn't hold a pen very well either.Overall very happy with the device. While it's an internet connected device, the way you end up using it feels lofi and a bit disconnected from the busy, ad-filled internet which is just what I needed.

Kindle and audible won't load
At first I was able to use Kindle but now I can't. It wouldn't sinc to get new books. So I uninstalled it then reinstalled the kindle app now I can't get into account at all. I also can't get into my audible account. One other thing I can't find replacement tips. I want to love this so much but I just can't. I'm hoping to get help so I can use it.

Great value!
Mine quit working within days of purchase. Amazon replaced it right away.

Wish I'd bought this sooner!
This is the first e-reader that I've ever owned that isn't a Kindle, and I wish I had bought it way sooner. I was a little nervous about switching because my Paperwhite works perfectly well except I was developing pain from having to hold the e-reader and pressing the screen to turn the page, due to my carpal tunnel syndrome. The remote I bought to turn the page on the Kindle sometimes didn't work, so I went searching and discovered the Meebook. It's basically like the Kindle but upgraded X 10.Even though it's technically an e-reader it's actually a tablet that uses e-ink so you can download apps and games. I've even downloaded Google Docs and wrote with a Bluetooth keyboard, and there's a bit of a lag with the E Ink refreshing but it's actually not a bad experience. I use it mainly for reading though of course, and with the Kindle app it almost feels completely the same as my Paperwhite. The best part is that everything is customizable. You can change the darkness of the text, add warmer lighting, add fonts and wallpapers, and you can use an SD card.My favorite part about this e-reader is pairing it with a Bluetooth remote which allows me to read hands-free without any pain. Basically I mount it on a gooseneck stand and use my remote to turn the pages. This is the one I use, by the way, also from Amazon. It's literally changed my life.https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0B8MH6NND?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_titleAnother reviewer mentioned that upon your first use you do have to update the software like a million times. Then on top of that you have to do some sort of certification with the Google Play Store. That process takes about 2 hours and even after that it didn't load right away so I had to do a factory reset. For some reason after the factory reset, Google Play Store loaded perfectly, and after that everything went really smoothly. I would recommend uninstalling the Kindle app that they provide through the stock app store that's included already on the e-reader, and instead download the Kindle app through the Google Play Store once you're able to certify it. Other than the initial setup which went on for about 2 to 3 hours, everything else has been wonderful about this device. This didn't bother me since another reviewer had mentioned it so I was prepared. If you love to read I would recommend downloading Hoopla, which you can use with a library account, as well as Cloud Library and of course Libby. In fact you could read directly with the Libby app and wouldn't even need Kindle, but I'm so used to the Kindle interface that it was difficult for me to use Libby. There's even an option to draw or take notes by hand if you use a special pen. A normal stylus will act as like a second finger, but you won't be able to handwrite notes. I didn't buy this e-reader for that purpose so I'm probably going to skip that feature, but it is a nice option to have among the many others this device offers.Another difference, and I'm comparing this to the Paperwhite only because that is the device that I have been using for most of my life, is this screen is bigger than the paperwhite. I find the bigger screen much more pleasant and it doesn't make the device heavier or more difficult to hold, in my opinion. Then again, usually I have this propped on a stand as I try not to use my hands when I don't have to due to my repetitive injuries. The one downside I'm using a device that is not so popular in the mainstream is that there aren't many cases available for it. I find that it's actually a better reading experience for me, since I use a gooseneck clamp, to just leave it without the keys. I put it in a protective hard shell case along with the remote, charger, and Bluetooth keyboard that I use for it when I feel like writing. Basically I have all my reading gear set up in one spot, and I love this new setup so much.I don't normally write reviews this long but this device has been so amazing that if you were looking to upgrade your e-reader and can afford something a bit higher end, I would totally recommend this device.

It didn't work for me
I was looking for an android e-reader to be able to read on different e-reader apps. Unfortunately the resolution was much lower than I expected, every now and then there was a shadow in white part of page, very slow to load when starting and slow on turning pages. In general I think if someone needs android e-reader, better off buying a cheap light weigh tablet and change screen settings to filter blue light, make it grayscale, and add an anti glare screen protector.
