This tool might replace your Crescents AND your Channel Locks.
I only just discovered Knipex pliers. I was tipped off to them be a friend who you may know from Junkyard Wars under the name of Dr. Crash. So where to start? If you look quickly at these, you may think "Eh, just another fancy pair of channel-lock pliers." But you'd be wrong. On a closer examination, you might conclude that they are the bastard offspring of a pair of Channel Locks and a Crescent adjustable wrench. And now you're on the right track. What you haven't got yet is that they are better than either. They combine the fast grip-range adjustment and easy repositioning of Channel Locks with the true parallel jaws of a Crescent wrench, but they grip tighter than either one, and won't slip when under load because they grip seven times tighter than you can with a pair of pliers. It's like having a fast-adjusting, semi-ratcheting crescent wrench.I can already see this tool is highly likely to replace the crescent wrench in my toolbox 90% of the time. You might want to consider putting one in yours.

7” is the best size
I have 3 sizes. 5, 7, and 10 inch. The 7” pliers are the most versatile size.

Seems like a gimmick but is actually great.
First off, I hate gimmicky tools. I want a tool for every job and I want it to do that job perfectly, not a do it all but badly kind of thing. For that reason, I'm not a big fan of normal adjustable wrenches (nut rounders) but they do have their place. I had never seen this type of wrench until I stumbled across these online. At first I thought they were a variation of waterpump pliers (channel locks). That is not the case, these do the same job as an adjustable wrench and in most situations do it better. The Jaws move in such a way as to be parallel at all times. The mechanism also offers far more clamping force than I expected. For these reasons, they actually grip a bolt or not surprisingly securely and don't try to round it off at all. The time when a traditional adjustable wrench would be better is if you are unable to squeeze the handles together for any reason during the tightening or loosening operation. All in all, these are a surprisingly useful tool and in my opinion, are suitable for professional use day in and day out.

Unique tool. Great brand. Better than a channellock or a cresent wrench. Won't hurt fasteners and no squeezing of handles.
I really like Knipex. I don't think anyone else makes a product just like this...these are unique. So what is it?This is not some channellock type tool. Channellock pliers change the angle of the pliers as you adjust them. Channellocks have aggressive teeth that dig into a fastener and damage them. These pliers keep the gripping surface parallel to each other at all times. You press the little button to slide the adjuster open or closed. Another things is that when using channellock type pliers, you have to squeeze the handles together. You only need to put pressure on the top handle. There is no squeezing involved. I used this to remove an O2 sensor when the actual O2 sensor socket wasn't able to get it to budge. Don't tell Knipex but you can put a pipe on the top handle to get more leverage. (do this at your own risk I guess)These are not a cresent type wrench either but it is a great replacement for a cresent wrench. (it is much closer to being a better version of a cresent wrench that it is to being a channel lock type plier) I don't think I will be using a cresent wrench ever again. Both cresent wrenches and channellocks type pliers tend to round off bolts and nuts. Cresent wrenches don't stay tight. These tend to work much much better than either one of those. The design is really cool too.I'm not sure about the comfort grip to be honest. It is nice but now this doesn't match my other Knipex tools. They sell one with the normal Knipex red handles. If I were doing it again, I probably would get that one. It is still a 5 star product in my mind though.

Great invention. I threw out one of my crescents to make room for this and I never throw away tools.
These have become my favorite adjustable wrench. Small enough to get in everywhere a traditional crescent can, but because you can squeeze it with leverage you are MUCH less prone to round off your nut/bolt heads. With a crescent, you adjust it, and then start pulling and once you start torquing you have no feel for it until you get that dreaded "jump" and you round off the flats of your bolt. We've all done it and know all too well that feeling in your stomach when you wonder if this nut/bolt is going to become a monster because you just ruined it. With this design, you squeeze as you torque so you can feel just how much tension you are applying and it's always in flush contact with the flats. I haven't tested it, but I'm pretty sure I can put a whole lot more torque on a bolt with this and cause zero damage than I could ever achieve with the best crescent wrench.Because the jaws stay parallel when you squeeze, I find myself using them as smooth jaw pliers for fine work. I can get a lot more leverage and squeeze harder than I can with a smooth jaw needle nose or duckbill pliers and these will squeeze flat. The adjustment is unique, just press the button and slide...works so well you find yourself picking them up just to fidget with them.Only downside is yes...they are expensive. Yowsa! But they are a REALLY nice tool.

Knipex 7 inch plyers/wrench
I purchased these through Amazon with the comfort grip. They feel good in the hand and provide addition compression ability due to the grip size. They are expensive but they will last a life time, unless you misplace them or they disappear because your colleagues like them more. They have a 10 to 1 grip advantage which really helps when gripping onto nuts and bolts. I was able to eliminate my 6” and 10” crescent wrench which lightens up the tool bag. They are the perfect size for most applications, 10” are better for plumbers because of the larger jaw opening. I must say they are a fantastic wrench/pliers. I had to engrave them with my initials to prevent mixing of tools when working with other techs. Other techs like newer tools when working together and can cause hostilely when they go a grab your new wrench instead of theirs. Engraving your initials in the tool stops that dead, makes them look like a turd for trying to pull a fast one.

Excellent Pliers
Nice pliers. Very expensive. This is my second one. I also have the 180mm size as well. They work well on chromed surfaces for not scratching. Also work well for gripping and bending. I prefer the comfort grip because they seem more durable and I work around sharp materials. I would probably buy the dipped handles if I was working around grease or oil. I gave these 4 stars because the price is a bit excessive. Definitely a 5 star product though.

Simplesmente fantástica!!!
The media could not be loaded. Super recomendo.

Like getting a Lamborghini with a bad paint job.
These do live up to their reputation. However I am a little disappointed in the finish. Uneven casting drips and pitting should not exist on such an expensive tool. You can purchase 5$ wrenches that look immaculate. You’re paying for the design and function definitely not the form.
