Too many changes
1 - the soles are really noisy. Any misstep or drag of foot lets out an awful high pitched squeak. My husband bought Gel N -24 too and same problem, so its not just this one pair. The outsole material has definitely been changed, and it continues even though the shoes are worn and broken in.2- the tongue has been sewn in to the sides of the upper. So after awhile of wearing it squeezes my foot in to the front of my shoe and my toes are crowded. This makes the shoe feel too small, when it isn't. I am unable to keep my heels seated in the heel cup of the shoe.3- good news change - they have returned to flat laces that don't grab debris so much, like pine needles, grass, etc.

Don't give up on Gel Nimbus...Size up - order Wide
It took me bruised toes and 4 pairs in different sizes to find the right 24 Gel Nimbus for me. I have worn Gel Nimbus'es for 12 years-different versions, and have always bought 8.5 regular. The 24s in that size felt OK on my foot--snug, but OK. So I started running in it and after a few runs my feet started hurting and I could tell my toes were getting squeezed. At first, I thought I just needed to try an entirely different shoe (there was no way I'd buy the Gel Nimbus 25s - I tried those on in a store and the soles are so wide they hit each other when I walked.)So, I ended up with a pair of New Balance Soft Foam 1080s. Those felt very comparable to the 24s in the store. However, after 30 miles in them, my legs were significantly more sore than usual--and running just didn't feel as "easy" as in the 24s. I now attribute this to the difference in stack height. It is noticeable--especially the difference between heel and forefoot. The Asics have a bigger difference, which makes you feel like you're leaning slightly forward. You really notice it wearing them side by side. I think this is part of what I was missing in the NBs...I felt like every step was falling flat...rather than giving you the sensation of being propelled forward which, to me, makes running more "joyful".I ended up ordering several different sizes of the 24s--and the 9.5 Wide is a winner...and running is a joy, and pain free again! (Note, the 9.5W Asics feel identical in length and toe box room to the 8.5R New Balance...)

Soles Are Really Noisy
I'm a runner, loyal and longtime fan of Asics Gel Nimbus, and also a nurse. Bought these through my runner lens - knowing how comfortable and supportive they are, thinking they would hold up well over my 12-hour shifts. And they do! But ... the soles are SO loud. I had a patient ask me if I was Spider-Man because "your shoes sound like you could walk up walls." I am hyper-aware of how squeaky they are when walking down the hall. It's hard to be discreet when going into a patient's room when wearing these shoes. I've given serious consideration to not wearing them to work anymore but the comfort and support have thus far won out ... and I'm also still hoping that if I wear the soles down they won't be as noisy.Running (or walking on carpet) = good, go for it!Nursing (or walking on vinyl or tile flooring) = noisy, don't recommend.

Perfect Heel Cushion for Comfortable Walk or Run
I'm typically a New Balance girl and have recently started walk/jogging. After my last pair of New Balance that I love were discounted, I was struggling to find something with the heel cushion/comforter that I needed as a "heel strike" runner. I also am someone that doesn't like a narrow fit in the toe box which is why I typically went with New Balance. After reading many articles and reviews I gave these Asic Gel-Nimbus a try and they are AMAZINGLY comfortable! I can no longer say I'm a New Balance girl. These offer everything I want/need in a walking/running shoe and are light weight on top of all the other positives. Highly recommend!

Narrow foot, narrower shoe
The cushion in these shoes are amazing, but they definitely run very narrow. I usually wear an 8 or 8 1/2, but sized up to a 9 after reading some of the reviews about how narrow they are. There were no sizes available in wide so I figured a 9 would be okay. Still too tight across the top of my foot, so I sadly returned them.

True to size
Love these shoes. I stand at work all day and my knees don’t hurt at the end of the day. There is so much cushion in the heel and ball of foot, I highly recommend this shoe. Am looking for a different color, but it’s hard to find a wide in my size. That’s the only downside. But I’ll keep looking.

change to padding on tongue
I have purchased these sneakers before. Nice lightweight sneaker for average foot. I like them and they suit my needs for running and working out. They changed the padding on the tongue; it used to have fairly thick padding. Now it is very thinly padded. Not a big deal except I do tend to tie my sneakers pretty tight, mostly to keep socks from moving, so I do notice a little discomfort on the top of my foot from the tight laces. Otherwise it's a nice lightweight sneaker for 15-20 miles per week.

Need to break in, but then very supportive and comfortable
As I have said in other reviews, I have been dealing with the dreaded plantar fasciitis for the last several months. This was the first pair of workout shoes I bought to help with support and reduce pain when walking around. In the beginning it felt snug, but like many sneakers, after a few wears, it loosened up a bit. I do feel that wearing these has given me the ability to do much more on my feet that previously was difficult. Seems to be lasting well also.

Super Laufschuhe

High cushioning.
My wife runs a minimum of 5k up to 7/8k a day, and these are the shoes she likes the best they have fantastic cushioning, are light and fit well. The last pair lasted just over a year before requiring replacement. Approximately 1500-1800k total distance covered; for a running shoe that’s pretty good. Usually only last about 1000k.
