lights work well and I am sure for those who have a lot of sunny days they are perfect. I live in the PNW and so far not so good for me. On sunny days these are awesome lights.

A good value for the price, but if you're looking for strong, long-lasting light, you may want to reconsider. I -am using them to highlight Halloween decorations. I wish they were stronger and lasted more than 4-5 hours. ( FYI- We're in central PA and they are getting FULL sun for about 6 hours - "dappled sunlight for a few more)I rated them 4 stars because they arrived in a timely fashion and are easy to put together, have a stake extender and they swivel for ease in positioning. Different colors give lots of choices for effect.

Great lights for the patio

I do not know why there is a sticker that says to press the button for 5 seconds when it comes on after 1 second. You press the button once, then the light will cycle slowly though the colors. Press the button once again to stop the light on the color you want the light to stay on. Press the button again to continue cycling through the colors, press again anytime to stop on whatever color you want.

Turns on one night and then skips a day or two and then turns on again. Not consistent at all.

Granted, I've only had these lights for a few days and only time will tell how long they'll survive; but so far I've been very happy with them. They are low-profile, feel solidly built, and don't mar the look of the landscaping like some lights do. They also last the entire night.In the spirit of full disclosure, I almost returned them at first because after two full days of charging in the sun, I couldn't get them to turn on. However, it seems that ended up having to do with some quirkiness of the power button. I had to make several attempts of holding it down for various amounts of time until it finally sprung to life. So if you get yours and they don't turn on after a couple days of charging, play with the button a bit and see if that works. And, of course, remember to have the solar panel completely covered when you're doing that so the sensor knows to turn the light on.I bought these specifically to illuminate a set of tiled stairs at night (see photo) and wanted a solar light that gave me color options other than just white. The product description says it has "6 Fixed Color Modes" (red, green, blue, yellow, cyan, purple) so I figured I would use red or yellow. But what I REALLY wanted was a color in between red and yellow so I was REALLY happy to see that I could get exactly that!It has to do with the way you set the color you want: you don't press the button and it gives you red, press it again and it gives you green, etc. (or at least I couldn't figure out how to do that). Instead, it cycles through all of the colors in the spectrum using it's "changing color mode" and you press the button to stop it when it gets to the color you want. So there is actually an abundance of color possibilities with this light.This color selection method may not work for some people but for me it is perfect and, provided they last a decent amount of time, I would highly recommend them to others.Please FIND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL if you did. Nice but you have to think outside of the box to figure how to get the steady color light of your choice

At least with mine, I can't pick one color. The light rotates through the colors, neither light came with any instructions. I wish I could select the color, also the light does not stay on through the night. Powers off around midnight.

Though made of plastic, it's sturdy plastic and hasn't broken through use - yet.Easy to assemble and install, just make sure there isn't any overhanging foliage obscuring the solar panel. I have both versions; the version with separate solar panel and the version with built in solar panel, both are very good. I have 3; 1 with separate panel & 2 with built in panel. I use them to highlight the big trees in my garden and use the one with separate panel where the tree I'm highlighting is in a shady spot but the panel picks up lots of light nearby.My neighbours are very impressed at the colours they project on the tree branches & bark. Each of my lights lasts for about 8hours each night after charging in bright daylight, about 3-4hours after a dull cloudy day.

Well! I bought this one (with the separate panel to catch a dark corner). And I also got one with the solar panel built in. The built-in worked perfectly (green one). But this one didn’t ‘seem to’ at all.I gave it days and nothing. So arranged a refund / return. I’ve just come to re-package it back up and thought I’d try ‘pressing and holding’ the on button... and it’s done it! The built-in solar one just pressed on. This one you have to hold it a second.It’s perfect and you can choose the level of brightness and on what colour you want it to stop and forever come back on at. Or, of course, leave it rolling through the colours if that’s your thing...Whoops. Now I need to sort out cancelling the return... I had every faith it was a one-off dodgy one (given the other one working perfectly).My wrong.

Colours didn't show up as much as I would have liked, used to light up christmas scene but only the white really bright enough and it needed to be placed fairly close so it was ok and worked fine but could have been better and I do recharge the batteries when they discharge as not enough light to charge for long this year.

Just put these out in our Turkish garden shining up our large palm tree. Looks spectacular, and well worth the money. They have 3 settings, Off, half brightness, and full on. When on full they last approx 6 hours, but have not tried them on half setting.Love the effect they give

The lights had a good sized solar panel unlike most of these cheaper solar garden lamps
