USB 2.0 External Sound Card 6 Channel 5.1 Surround Optical S/PDIF Audio Sound Card Adapter for PC Laptop Recording Compatible with Windows 10/8 / 7/ XP

The only way I could achieve 5.1 sound from my laptop was to send it over the Display Link cable to my monitor which had 5.1 out ports that were connected to my sound system. This worked fine until my monitor gave it up, and in my search for a new one found that audio throughput was something of a rare novelty without paying a fortune. Instead, I bought a standard display only monitor and this product to output my 5.1 sound. No, my audio outputs via USB straight through this to my sound system. It just works!

I am looking for a USB sound card that can provide separated channels for the wav output. This product is perfect to meet the needs. With the seller provided SW, Xear Audio Center, you can check all 6 channels independently. I even tried this with a DAW. It works greatly. Since my goal is to use python to control the different channels, I have not found any python module to support the function. I am still working on my project. (This is not related to the product).Something the seller can improve is the device driver. It is on the CD. As many of the PCs don't have the CDROM today. It took me some time to find the cdrom writer to copy the driver out. Why can't you provide a downloadable solution?

I have used this product for a couple of months and the overall experience is very good. The build quality is good as per the price. It’s easy to use and compact to place in a corner.
