Disappointed
We bought this to make oat milk. We tried the recipe in the book plus other online recipes. The oat milk is not a good texture, a thick layer of sludge at the bottom. Even if you shake the milk like you would commercial oak milk you are still left with a layer in the bottom of your cup. We really wanted to like this! I am a qualified chef and still struggle to get anywhere near the quality you can buy. It needs an extra filter. The machine cleans itself, no complaints there. The build is not quite as expected for the price, there is a lot of plastic. I expected a kitchen aid type quality for the price. I’ve really tried to like this but after 2 weeks am buying commercial oat milk again. I’m sorry to say it’s really just a blender, you can buy a blender for a lot less.

Soups, dips, milks and smoothies.. Does it pass the test?
Presentation & intuitivenessInstructions are clear so easy to understand. However should you want to plug and play and go hung ho, then you’ll be ok. Soups are incredible from raw ingredients to final product 28 minutes.Tomato, lentil, or even an internet bespoke recipe soup 28 minutes. You control the consistency based on the liquid you place inside the main bowl .Jonyoung completes this to restaurant grade fineness in terms of consistency of liquid and quality of food product. So simple and easy to operate that as a work from home user, I throw in the ingredients and forget it, then heat and smell the food at completion. Less steps than ordering food off an app. Yes, that easy.Self cleaning works, sterilisation works, if you do something wrong, you do get an error code and an image of the appliance flashes on the screen with the section that is not inserted correctly. Great user interface design. However you’re probably not concerned about the soup, the smoothies, the juices that can be created by this item, all are exceptional. You’re probably more focused on nut milks.Nut milk:Nut milks, soya, hemp seed, almond, rice are easier than I thought, it’s actually upsetting that I’ve been buying them from then store. Rice milk came out perfect no need to filter, the nut milks came out perfect, using the provided filter bag brought it to store quality level.Almond milk takes about 3 minutes, rice milk a bit longer and at 20 mins. Blind taste test on them and they’re better than the brand names, I control the flavour by adding vanilla as well as adjusting the sweetness with either dates, molasses, honey or coconut sugar. Limiting my intake of processed, refined foods.Would I recommend it, yes at £399.. just do it, you will not regret it in the slightest. It’s fast becoming one of the important items in the kitchen and has all but eliminated dairy from the house.Extras:Lastly, it makes Tofu, hummus, vegan cheese and frozen cocktails.. (I’m not vegan or close to vegetarian, I have a Weber Smokey mountain bbq in the garden, I make steaks all the time, but the quality of the food items and the energy I have after consuming them…. It’s making me consider my diet and lifestyle)Self Cleaning does it really clean it’s self?I can vouch for the self cleaning, I am lazy when it comes to tidying up after cooking, this requires less than 10 seconds and a cloth and that’s if you’re just clumsy..Overall 95% out of 100

Lasted 9 months
Was unsure whether to buy this one or the German one. On line reviews suggested Chinese are experts when it comes to nut milk so bought this one. After 9 months showed code E25 and stopped working. After 3 weeks of going on to their websites chat facility & not getting an answer to what E25 means, despite leaving my email as requested so they could send me the answer, I have given up. I have now ordered the German version. Hopefully with Germany's reputation for build quality it will last longer.

Absolutely love this my favourite purchase ever
Very easy to use, fast as I love that it set cleans. The soup was amazing but I mostly use it for plant milks.

Stopped working
Stopped working after 2 years, no support. Very disappointing, it was a good machine while it was working.

When it works it’s great but no support when it breaks!
When it works, it is great. We use it almost daily to make almond milk (though there are cheaper options). However the first one we bought stoped working after six months showing E25 every time we tried to use it. There is no documentation of error states anywhere. Multiple (>10) emails, calls and messages over weeks did not result in ANY response from the company! Ultimately Amazon replaced the unit and the new one works fine, but the experience was very disappointing for a unit of this price!

Great milk maker until it broke after 18 months
This review is edited due to failure after 18 months of use.The unit developed a fault E25 which means that control for allowing flow of liquid broke. I will try Joyoung support but I don't expect any joy based on other people's experiences.Such a shame this fault has rendered a really good unit useless so soon.Original review follows:We mostly make soymilk which this machine does brilliantly. The milk is very smooth and tasty. We thought it might be inferior to our usual Alpro, but not at all! We were really pleased when we tried the milk for the first time. The oat/cashew milk is also very nice. Our machine makes at least 2 litres of milk a day. We have had it for over 6 months and it is working flawlessly. Maintenance is pretty minimal and the self-cleaning function is simply invaluable!I really can't find a flaw with it. Its great. And thanks to how much milk we go through, it paid for itself in 4 months. And it saves a huge amount of packaging.

Convenient and easy to use
I really like not having to clean the machine every day. It works very well with all kinds of nuts, oats, rice, soy beans, etc... I also love the blender function for smoothies. I just fill it up, press a button and come back in a couple of minutes with a creamy, very well blended smoothie with no chunks. A little expensive but very unique. Nothing else like it on the market.
