Industrial Sputnik Ceiling Light - Modern 8-Light Semi Flush Mount Light Fixture with Matte Black Finish Metal Pendant Lighting for Bedroom Living Room Dining Room

We have three of these in our living room (very old house with 3 single light fixtures pre-exisiting that we replaced). It puts out a huge amount of light that is crisp and cool (I def dont recommend three in one room). Completely changed the look of our living room!

This item requires some assembly and takes a minute to complete. Don't get in a hurry and it will turn out great. This is the second unit I have purchased like this and I have not been disappointed. Looks great in my bar area!

Lights came well packaged so no issue there. Lights will not come with bulbs - as it's stated in the sale ad - but Home Depot carries plenty of vintage bulbs. I recommend the bulbs that are small/short but tubular in design - as I pictured. Anything bigger/longer and you won't be able to screw two of the bulbs in due to the unique design and as I have also pictured an example of.Although quality of the product seems to be okay, what is sketchy is how the tubes are mounted to the light tray. It seems to be a flimsy hardware and I experienced a few stripped nuts that mount the tubes. Ironically there were extras included as if to say, there was an expectation of the nuts being garbage quality. It would have been also nice to have nuts that were thicker. The nuts provided were thin and flimsy.Retroactively, I should have just went to the hardware store and bought thicker nuts with the same thread-pitch, but I made it work in the end. If I end up putting these lights in other rooms in our home, I'll definitely go get thicker nuts because the supplied nuts are honestly garbage. :-/I will mention, if these are not torqued down tight and solid, the overall construction will be flimsy and you did it wrong. If you torqued them down too much - nuts mounting the tubes to the tray - you risk stripping the threads on the tube(s) and then you're doomed.Again, overall quality is pretty decent but it's the way these are mounted and the quality of the supplied nuts that will require your best decision and proper attention to detail in the construction of these, otherwise these came out pretty nice.

It looked very nice with the light bulbs, saved space and pretty light. It was just all of them were very loose, not well made and not easy to install because the center stamp was too short to screw back on. But overall it looked very nice, we were satisfied with purchase

This ceiling mount light has a 9th hole. Only 8 lights. I contacted their customer service, but got no reply. Amazon sent a replacement light, and it was also with 9 holes. The light is a decent price. But the ceiling mount with an obvious hole that does not belong is frustrating. I like the design. I will be more cautious with future light purchases. I wish they had replied to my request on their customer service email. It also does not come with the lightbulbs. They are on Amazon but it was a hunt to find them. I will be sure to see who the manufacturer is with future lighting purchases. This was an eye opener for me.

My husband was sick of hitting his head on my low hanging light. I wanted a light that would be bright and not your every day looking light. My husband wanted less bruising. This light fit the bill. My husband had a lot of fun putting it together and getting the lights "just right". I bought daylight brightness lights and they definitely light up the room and the next and the next. We are debating on changing the bulbs to less daylight, but it is kind of growing on us. This item was just as described and it arrived at least a week before I was expecting it. I might purchase another one for my basement. I paid full price for this item so this is a true and honest review.

Looks cool but impossible to put together. There was very poorly written instructions and the parts don’t fit. I’d return it but I have 45 minutes into building it and it would take me the same to disassemble it so im just gonna throw it in the trash. Junk

I bought this for our dining room. It arrived in a small box and the entire light has to be assembled. The directions are written in "Chinglish" and you have to decipher what they are trying to convey. They include "gloves" for assembly but they are ridiculous. There is a diagram in the instructions showing Arm A goes here, B goes there...and so on. However, nothing is labeled as A, B, C...etc. So you try to follow the drawing of the light and realize that the light arms they included are not bent the same as the ones pictured. I ended up missing some that were pictured and instead having doubles of others. I made it work and it looks okay. Wiring the light is a nightmare. Each arm has two wires, a black and white (the instructions say red wire and variegated wire but there were no such wires). That means with 8 arms, there are 16 wires to try to connect to the two wires in your ceiling box. They included a 12" piece of 18ga. extension cord to use with wiring the light but I didn't want to burn down my house so I did not use it. The wires in this light are aluminum, not copper and appear very thin, like 18 or 20 ga.. I assembled the light, ended up making pigtails to connect all of the wires and twisted four black wires together, then the other four black wires and the pigtail were all joined together with a wirenut. Same for the 8 white wires and a pigtail. Once all that was done, the light was installed and i put LED Edison bulbs in it so the aluminum wire would have an easier job handling the lower wattage. It is wobbly with the long thin metal arms and they do not protrude straight out, they have sag or dip to them, especially the longer ones. I wouldn't buy another one.
