Made from white stoneware clay, while the clay was still soft and workable, glaze was applied and the goddess was carved through the glaze into the clay. The goddess and the inside of the mug are white, which is the color of the clay. The mug was clear coated to seal the clay. The goddess is carved on both sides This mug is designed for everyday use and is dishwasher and microwave safe as well as food safe. A thumb rest and ample handle make this cup a joy to hold.
