UPANG Plus LED Baby Bottle Sanitizer and Dryer - Blue

Purchased this after our old Upang stopped working (used a couple of years). This is a bigger size (which I really like since it fits so much), and since my husband is a healthcare worker, we use this daily to sanitize literally everything from cell phones to stethoscopes! I also use this to sanitize cups, tumblers and even my kid's toys. Totally worth the investment!

The size is big, so you can put lots of bottles too!

I bought a UPang plus a month ago. I have noticed a strong odor which smells like a mixture of dust and metal after each use. When I leave the UPang door open for a while, the smell goes away. At first I thought it was probably because it was brand new, so I run it for a dozen of cycles without putting anything in. But the smell would still appear after each use. Then I thought it was probably because of UV light, so I tried to just run the ventilation mode. The smell would still appear even after the ventilation mode only. Now I'm worried whether it could be something toxic, since the air flow is blown in through a fan and runs through the internal passage inside the machine that is made of circuits and electrical components that may potentially contain toxic stuff which I apprantely won't be able to know. I directly contacted UPang customer service, and was told it was because of UV light. So I emphasized again that the smell would still come out even after ventilation mode only. The customer service did not further reply. I took it as a red flag since people buy this for their newborns and this is critical information that cannot be ignored. So, to UPang customer service, what is the smell? What is the air blowing through before it reaches the inside of the machine? And could you please provide a link that shows it is indeed FDA approved?

We went from a water based sanitizer to this. Not having to deal with distilled water is great but beyond that, the size and how this thing feels like a tank is great. We went from running our sanitizer 3-4 times a day to at most twice. Simple to use, it runs very quietly. The ability to open the outer door to see inside when it’s running comes in handy. And lastly the time remaining is very nice to have.

I love this product! I always try to avoid environmental hormones for my family and this sterilizer is perfect for baby bottles. This product has been recognized as a medical equipment by FDA, ensuring the effectiveness of killing bad germs. I like I can store cleaned and sterilized bottles in it too. No need to worry about having clean bottles exposed to air and getting germs again! Also, I love its design. My milk station looks fancy. Not just bottles, but I can sterilize so many items (cups, spoons, cellphones) and can use it for many years. Love this and worth the $.

I bought the grey one of this upang uv light for my new baby (4 months now).Everything was great until the unit suddenly stopped working, and I assumed its power line broke down.I tried to find contact info, preferably phone line to talk directly, but I could not find it except its email address which took (and still is taking) forever to communicate.Thankfully they accepted the warranty to get it fixed, but I have been waiting to receive my unit for more a month for what they said was they needed to wait for parts from korea and to inspect what it needed to be fixed on. The company did not offer any replacement to be covered otherwise I had to do the rental on my compensation of its shipment (30+ dollars on one way). I only used the unit less than 3 months and I was happy with its functionality, design, and handiness while adjusting to a very busy life of a new mom, which did not last long enough. A friend of mine warned me before I purchased as she also had a similar bad experience with upang usa customer service (her one had issues with its light functions), and now I regret that I did not listen to her. If you get a good one with no electrical issues as you use, lucky that you don't have to go through all this, but who knows who gets what as electrical devices are like a lottery!!
