Nicole Angemi's Anatomy Book: A Catalog of Familiar, Rare, and Unusual Pathologies

I've followed Mrs. Angemi on Instagram for a few years and subscribe to the Gross Room as well. I was super excited to get this book! I received it yesterday and literally couldn't put it down. I was laid up in bed with a stiff neck so I took advantage of that down time and binged the whole book in one day. Lots of fun, fascinating and educational content. My only complaint is similar to a few others - there seemed to be a few pages that were misprinted but I was still able to read everything just fine.

I've been a follower of Nicole Angemi's instagram for a few years, and I was excited to hear she was publishing a book! The material within the book is very well written, and I found it to be an easy read with lots of great pictures. The only negative I have regarding the book is the quality control. I had a few pages in my copy that appear to have gotten jammed in the printing process, as there are noticeable creases on the pages, as well as the text being very blurred and unreadable. This may have just been the luck of the draw with the copy I received, but I did see another review on here regarding the book showing up in less than new condition, so perhaps something to keep in mind for those ordering online. The printing issues have nothing to do with the content of the book, as I do think it's a great entry point for those who are wanting to learn more about pathology and various medical conditions they may not be overly familiar with. Overall, would recommend!

I'm a first year medical student and really interested in pathology so purchasing this was a no-brainer (and doesn't hurt that the book is aesthetically appealing)! I really love how she breaks down and explains each ailment BUT there are some serious grammatical issues throughout the text. I don't know how they managed to slip through because they're pretty obvious at first glance.

I follow the author on instagram and was almost instantly amazed at her source content. When I found out she was releasing a book I HAD to get a copy. I take this book to work to read in my downtime and it is amazing, handfuls of pathology cases with mounds of informational content that has me interested in reading again. It’s been years since I felt the urge to pick up a book for leisure due to the amount of required reading from school so I must put a thanks out for rekindling my passion for knowledge. My coworkers love to take a few glances at the included imagery and my first aid trainee employees are all becoming more invested in the medical field as a whole from reading and hearing some of the included stories. 100% would recommend.

Arrived on time, as described. Great photos and case descriptions. Wealth of knowledge, definitely not for the squeamish.

I have been following Mrs. Angemi on Instagram for well over a year. I appreciate her approach to teaching and showing different pathologies to the public. For people interested in learning what is out there without actually delving into books and college courses, she does a great job of it. Her approach gets those interested in thinking outside of the box while learning about her weekly trivia activity on the current image she shows for the readers to look into. This book is a great reference to normal and abnormal pathologies for any reader out there. I hope she will continue with a series, or at least publish a few more as this is some interesting stuff.

She mentioned if her book in 2019 and I have been anticipating this ever since! I got my book on 10/26 and I can’t put it down!! It’s so fascinating! If you Love the book then you will Love The Gross Room which is all things pathology and it is accesible by subscribing to her website. I am a RN and I am completely fascinated by pathology and I learn something with every case I read in this book. I highly recommend it and I am looking forward to gifting this to all my nurse and Doctor friends! Christmas is around the corner so this is going to be a fabulous gift! Enjoy!!

I’ve never seen such a pretty book contain such grossness inside, I knew what I was getting into when I ordered it as I’ve followed Ms Angemi on instagram for years, but the poor unsuspecting people who look over my shoulder on the bus are sure shocked!

Saw reviews saying their print was off; mine was fine. The book is fun and interesting, good conversation starter to have lying around the house.

My first order came damaged but Amazon quickly replaced it. I thought the book was going to be bigger but that’s purely cosmetic. The book itself is amazing, so fascinating and full of educational and interesting stories! Will buy a volume II if there ever is one. Keeping it on my coffee table :)

This has been a great read so far! I am a nursing student, and learning all about the world of pathology is one of my favourite aspects of my journey so far. Nicole has such a great story and is a super cool soul! I originally found her on instagram and have been looking up to her now while embarking on this journey. It’s really neat to see all the cool creepy things she has studied in her book!! Definitely a buy for the pathology lover.
