Incredible value, especially after your customized-comfort fill level is achieved
Purpose: My tub is spacious but uncomfortable. Steep back. Hardly-rounded edges throughout. The worst spot is my neck & lower head. I tried a non-inflatable bath pillow, but it stuck out way too far for my needs, and was hard.I tried this one. It was soft, but way too thick. After letting more than half of the air out … perfect! My needed position isn’t in the tub, but usually just above it against the shower wall. Therefore, I neither need nor use the suction cups. (Plus, you have to be really careful to neither tear them at the base, nor permanently misshape the edge when peeling them off of the tub.) But this is the closest design I’ve found for what I need. Bonus: dirt-cheap. Until a better one is invented, this score is comparatively perfect. This doesn't need a cloth cover to feel great.I’ve been gentle enough for it to never pop or leak. Don’t slam your head against the bath pillow or lay your upper back on it. Parts of the edge seal look so small that I wondered whether it was open, or would easily burst. But it’s fine.To fill, pull the stronger parts straight out to fully extend the inflation neck. Carefully open the plug. (Plastic breaks easily.) Squeeze the base (just below where it enters the thin plastic), holding it half way closed. (Many of these have an additional seal that you need to misshape in this manner to open.) Seal your lips around the tube and blow full breaths in. You can release your pinch for each inhalation, or seal the opening with a finger. When half full (or whatever amount is ideal for your comfort), release from pinching, hold the tube, fully insert the attached plug, push the neck straight in all the way.As with most materials, parts that remain wet can grow mildew. Prevent all that, so you won’t have to worry about corrosive solvents later. Wipe where the water doesn’t run off, and air dry on a towel.Although the suction cups are hard to remove, the pillow can slide some.

Think of it as a disposable pillow!
After reading the reviews I decided to buy this inflatable pillow anyway. This is the exact kind of pillow that I was replacing. I had my original pink pillow for about 30 years so I was glad to find that someone still made the same kind. I bought this replacement in June 2017 and it just now developed a leak last night as I was soaking in the tub. It is April 2018, so that's 10 months. I examined where the leak was coming from and it was that the edge seam just opened up where the front & back are seamed together. I probably used it 4 - 5 times per month. So I suppose if you don't mind buying one every year, these are o.k., or just buy several at once. I am not going to buy another one yet, I am going to try a different style pillow that doesn't inflate and see if I like it.

Works great -- good price
Although these seem a little bit thinner plastic than the old pillow I had for the past 20 years or so, they are just fine. I ordered two of these, and because one or two people had complained about receiving leaky pillows, I immediately inflated both and left them on the table for a couple days with a heavy book on each to check for leaks. Both held air perfectly. Now, I've only had them for a couple weeks, so I don't know if they will eventually develop cracks in the plastic where the wrinkles naturally occur (like my old one did after a couple decades), but I'm guessing that if I bring them inside from the spa each time, they ought not to break down from exposure to UV from sunlight for quite a while. My only -- very minor -- complaint is that these have a fairly smooth texture, and I actually preferred the sort of fake woven surface texture of my old inflatable spa pillow. Oh well.

Comfy Bathtime!
Great bath pillow! I was replacing a very similar pillow I had gotten from Mary Kay and used for a lot of years. I wanted this particular shape and was tickled to find it - and at such a great price! My only complaint is that it was a bear to blow up. However, it has held the air perfectly since then. I bought a second pillow (at this price, a great deal) to have on hand just in case. When it comes time to blow it up I may try a bicycle pump. I love taking a real bath (rather than a shower) about once a week and this is perfect! Supports my neck and is very comfortable!

Workable but not the best
So far, I haven't had any deflation issues with this product, however it's not the best I've had either and I've only used it a few times. Blowing it up is hard and the suckion cups don't stay on very well. I basically use it like a floation device for my head instead, putting the pillow part under my neck/head and the middle unflated part at the top. Then my head stays above water, but I can basically lay down fully in my tub (I have a 6' jetted tub, so room to stretch). However, I had a pillow previously that you could either blow up or fill with hot or cold water. That was the best I've ever had until it developed a leak after about a year's worth of use.

You get what you paid for...
It was cheap, around $5 I believe. It came with Amazon Prime shipping. I got to enjoy it for a couple of baths (literally 2). Blowing it up was a little hard to do. Then I noticed that it had deflated a little. I blew it up again and checked for bubbles. Sure enough, there were two small holes in the seam. I did a temporary fix (super glue) and enjoyed it for one more bath. The next morning, it was flat. This time, there was a tear in the seam in a different spot. =( I haven't tried to fix it yet.Pros: It floats. It's cheap. Ships fast.Cons: It's cheap.

Not quite comfortable
While I like the fact that this won't mildew, I'm not actually pleased with the comfort of it. I leave it in the tub and use it occasionally like the one I once owned but this one has bits that stick me in the neck. Certainly not a Cadillac, more of an Escort, but the best I found for what I wanted.
