Hi! I would not say this would work for holding flowers on a shelf. It is designed as a purse and has a fabric lining. Does not stand up on its own well. Hope this helps.

I bought the bag in straw. It is not white or cream. It is the color of straw/rattan. I would call it beige. Great little bag

Mine does not have a separate pouch. It does have a part of the lining that is folded down from the top, and that has a drawstring so that you can pull it tight to keep things secure inside. But there is only one main compartment.
