Works like a charm using it to lift my kayak up in my shed

I purchased this block set up to use to hoist the roof off my new to me but 19 year old Thunderbird. An Ebay seller is offering a similar set up for $199 plus $39 to ship. I need to purchase a couple more items to make this hoist work, but I think it will do the job well holding my 84 pound roof, and I will spend less than $50 to get the job done.

I used this to life a 40 gallon water heater into the attic. I laid the water heater flat on the attic ladder and mounted the hoist to the house rafters. It pulled the new water heater up into the attic with relative ease, but I should’ve worn gloves. So much safer than trying this manually with 2 men.
