This is not a piece of plastic on a string but genuine obsidian. I use it as an aide memoire for when I put my kettle on. It hangs around my neck whenever I need to remember something.

Lovely necklace
Lovely necklace but it snapped very easy. It's a design flaw, as the necklace is treaded through the crystal, so wears away quickly which causes it to snap.

Nice but not genuine obsidian
The necklace is nice in itsel, I like it but it's not real obsidian and I'm an avid collector of crystals. I will keep it though because I like the style.
