I’ve Read Better
I have read all of her books and loved them. I usually zip right through, can’t put it down, I am engaged from the very first page. This time, not so much. It was a bit of a struggle. The reason for the four stars, I am a huge fan of her work, and she managed to tie the story up nice and neat at the end. But overall, not one of her best. Sorry, I really wanted to like it more….

Not enticing enough!
I was hoping to be as good as Devil were Prada but it is not!

Not the ending I expected!
I binged the second half of this book wondering when the real story was going to come out and I was not disappointed! I’d love to know what happens with Max, and with Skye!

Enjoyable, but...
Even though I enjoyed reading this book, I found it hard to believe that anyone, especially a broadcast journalist, would not know what something going viral meant. I am 72 and I know what it means. I was also confused that almost immediately after Skye's realization that she put her life on hold, she decides adopting another child would be a great idea. Wealthy people are all superficial?? Who knew?

Good Light Summer Fare
This book is perfect for those looking for an easy summer beach read. It was enjoyable, but didn’t have the same zest for me as The Devil Wears Prada, by the same author. Pretty predictable plot. Good character progression in Max’s story. Some little annoying things: 1) if Skye’s credit cards were so overdue that she was getting calls, how is she able to continue to buy stuff? 2) I hated that it took so long for Peyton to make the decisions she made. It was hard for me to like her or even find sympathy for her; 3) the author never resolves whether Skye tells her husband about her debt.

Bad and full of leftist propaganda
I bought it for Rs.100 in sale thinking that this must be in line with devil wear Prada but oh my god it is full of leftist crap like feminism, black life, diversity, pride etc etc..the story was too slow and full of preaching..this maybe an acceptable storyline in usa or Europe but in India we don't want such crap as our society is already too diverse..our culture is full of fiminist legends and guess what in past our women ran dynasties, made temples, did lot of charity, worked for society, read great scriptures like ved and to acieve all this they didn't need to destroy their family instead they celebrated all roles with great aplomb and perfection..

Grade A
It has been a long time since I read on of Lauren’s works and this one did not disappoint. After the actual real life events of the college scandal wrapped up this book offered a view point I didn’t consider. Despite knowing it may be wrong we can often get caught up in wanting the best for the ones we live we can’t see the wrong at the time. I never considered this as the real life trials began I only saw them as greedy celebrities - nice take Lauren!
