The original of this image was taken with a twin lens Roleiflex Camera at the inlet by the old Whitestone Drive-In movie theater in Queens..This image was taken in 1974 and is published in Mr. Gambee's second book, "Manhattan Seascape--Waterside Views Around New York." All ten of his photography books are at Amazon. His work has been compared to that of Bernice Abbott and others. During an exhibit by the Smithsonian Institution, the negative of this image was lost. Only one silver gelatin remains and is for sale by the photographer at $7500. [email protected].
