I came home from work today and found that Ippy’s cookbook came! What a delight to look at and read! I love the way it’s put together, the colors are beautiful, the manner in which it is written is easy to understand, and the recipes have my mouth watering!! I can’t wait to bring some Hawaii to my little corner of Florida. Mahalo nui loa Ippy for putting this great cookbook together. It’s perfect for homesick people like me and for anyone wanting a taste of the islands we call home.

I grew up in Hawaii and this has the real local food recipes by a local Hawaiian chef. Highly recommend . Very easy to follow.

This book is a wonderful journey into the heart of a Hawaiian chef and his family through food. The authentic recipes guide even the most novice cook on how to cook delicious food and highlight the origin of them in a friendly and informative tone. A must read for you and a great present for those in your life that you want to share a little Hawaiian love with.

The recipes are simple and typical of Hawaiian food. The directions are well written and easy to follow.

Really liked how there is information about Hawaii and Polynesian cooking, including timelines and influence. The photos and colorful pictures are also a plus. We hired chef Ippy for a private family meal and loved his cooking, playing and attention to details. Mahalo Ippy!

I love that he gave tips at the bottom and most of the recipes are true to Hawaii, that I know.. this is the first cookbook i actually sat down and read and didn't just skim the table of contents

A beautiful cookbook with mouthwatering pictures! Includes many simple recipes. Ippy offers cooking tips and peppers his descriptions with enjoyable personal anecdotes. He shares with us his aloha spirit and island food favorites. A must have book whether familiar with the dishes or just seeing them for the first time!
