Terrific Computer!
I received this computer earlier than expected which I needed. It works well and so far I am happy with it.

Lasted just 18 months and got the Blue Screen of Death
This is literally the shortest-lived laptop I've ever owned. Coincidentally, just a few months after the HP warranty expired, the SDD died. I just hope I can get my data off of it, but $1200 a year is a very expensive proposition, so this is the last HP product I will buy. I should have known when I got the crappy printer with the microchip that only lets you buy the expensive HP cartridges. Money-grubbing company that produces crap. I wouldn't be surprised if they get found out sabotaging computers because customers don't pay extra for their warranty. My data loss is really going to be painful. Junk!

Good laptop, BAD battery
I had to purchase a laptop for my onboarding at a new job in July of 2021. I liked the look so I spent the $1300, at the time, based on some of the reviews, the over 17" and it being touchscreen. I have to say that overall it's a good laptop. I purchased a lower end of the same model with less RAM and a slower processor, and it's horribly slow. This one is responsive, the screen/video is crisp and clear and there isn't a bunch of lag time while it tries to do it's processing. The worst thing that I can say is that the batter only lasts about an hour and a half to 2 hours, if I lower the brightness of the screen. As long as you have it plugged in, it should do very well for you. If you need to use the laptop off of the battery, adjust the power options to turn everything off within a couple minutes of non-use to make the battery last as long as possible.

Defective
This is a laptop. I was using it as such and the back got so hot it burned my lap. Bought a fan for underneath, but the heat radiated through the fan platform. Contacted the seller, sent it to them. THey lost my power and A/C adapter cord and said I never sent it to them. THis has been going on for 4 months. They said it's not a lap top.... They cant evaluate it without a cord. Now I have to buy a cord so I can send it elsewhere to get it checked out. It is a risk/hazard to use. I dont usually write reviews but for close to a thousand dollars and nothing to show for it, this stinks. Probably the computer, if it didnt have a defective battery or whatever is causing this heating problem and the fact it wont hold a charge for about 45 minutes when unplugged, it would be a nice machine.

Not What You Expect
At first the laptop arrived DOA. I was quite skeptical especially since there was no official documents from HP and I thought I had gotten scammed or something. Yet when I reached out to both Amazon and Computer Upgrade King - they responded right away. I let the laptop charge overnight and it's been nothing short of awesomeness. Again, I was highly concerned (four star rating) about the computer coming with spyware or something since it didn't have any official HP (start manual, etc.) and only came with a hand signed check off list from a random human. But my spam radar was for nothing. Computer is awesome (touch screen not as sensitive as other HPs I've had) and I'm thrilled with Amazon and Computer Upgrade King's quick response.
