So, I originally ordered these electric nail clippers because I have a toddler, and it’s really hard to clip his nails between him constantly wiggling around, and my poor vision. I thought this would be an easy solution to that… unfortunately, it isn’t what I expected. I was under the impression that it would trim safely and easily, and it leaves the nails pretty jagged, which doesn’t save time at all because I then have to file afterwards. It’s hard to use on baby due to the size of my sons hands and trying to hold his fingers in place and then turning them to get the whole nail. I feel like this would be a good tool for someone who is unable to cut their nails on their own that knows they need to sit still; i.e; someone elderly, someone bed ridden, older children (someone who can sit still) etc.I then tried using it on my 9 y.o, and when he went to use it he said it wasn’t working well, so I had him bring it to me, and when I went to do it, it pretty much ate his nail up to the skin and cut his finger. (Now that, I’m unsure if that was a user error, or if it is just made like that where the opening that actually is sharp is too big; not sure, but I have no problem saying it is a user error if it is.)Overall, it isn’t a bad tool, it is reasonably priced for what it is, but it is easy to cut too much off, it is easy to cut your skin, and you will have to file your nails post cut due to the jagged results.I will get an electronic filer, to see if that is a better alternative for my kids.

I was a bit apprehensive, but the price was right to try, and it works great! You have to get comfortable at first, and I used it on high speed only. My wife and I were amazed- it was very effective and my nails look like I had a Man-icure! Just be sure to move the nail back and forth for an even finish. Empty the nail shavings every time!

My spouse wanted this. I thought it was stupid. Now that I have used it, I am sold. It gets the nail clipped evenly along the natural curve of the distal nailbed. It looks so much neater. You can't cut the quick of your nailbed, also no more hangnails. Finally, it can get the nail shorter than hand clippers. I am very pleased.

It was advertised as a nail clipper. It is little more than a .50 emery board. It would take a week to file all ten nails. Fifteen minutes didn't even get one nail half done. Very disappointing.

Will cut thick long nails. Will need to file to get the edges smooth but easy to use for someone who struggles using clippers.
