HOBOSheila Large Satchel

The floral print is pretty but the leather seems too fragile. Scratches and scrapes will be evident quickly. Suspect that it won’t hold up very well. Sent it back.

This was a Christmas gift for my wife. She moved right into it and loves it.

I love this bag very much! Big Hobo fan. Only issue was the zipper did not operate smoothly and got stuck in one section. I used Burt’s Bees lip balm along the zipper teeth and worked on it for a few days. Zipper now runs very smooth.

The only thing I would complain about is the zipper. Very hard to pull.

I purchased this bag after eyeing it for months. I couldn't resist the amazing deal for the beautiful peacock green color. Immediately I fell in love with it's ample size, vintage feel, and the soft leather. I agree with other reviewers that the zipper is cumbersome, but my true concern lies with the soft, buttery leather. While it is undoubtedly of high quality, even after a few days of fairly careful introductory use, it shows evidence of scratches (couldn't even tell you how they were acquired). One scratch even seems to be deep enough to threaten a possible hole one day. I'm at a loss about how to keep the bag safe; and because I love it, I'm hoping blemishes simply add character and that the bag's integrity holds up over time.

perhaps ridiculously so but I think that's why I love it. Attractive lines, room for books, yoga pants, whatever supplies you want to haul around. Currently not even a third full. Pockets are useful to find keys and phone fast. I'd been looking on eBay but didn't want a used one. Strangely enough, on a random afternoon, the price dropped from $328 to $263 and I pounced. No regrets.

I have a Hobo Sheila bag in another color and I absolutely love it. When I saw it in violet here at such a great price I couldn't resist getting another one. The color is pretty and fun, and the bag is multifunctional and amazing. It reshapes to fit whatever you carry in it, so it gets rounded, smaller and slouchy if you just have regular purse contents in it, and it gets bigger and square if you pack it full of stuff. It's big enough to fit a laptop and more, plus it's made of quality Hobo leather and construction. It's comfortable to carry on your arm with the round handles as well as on your shoulder or as a cross body with the larger strap. You can't go wrong with this bag so get one while you can!

I've had two of these (black and caramel - an older color) - for a couple of years, and chose them because the leather, being thin, = equals a bag that is large but LIGHTWEIGHT. I use it often for oversea trips, can fit soooo much inside, but the bag itself does not add too much weight. It can be a carry-on, or a slouchy bag just for daily use, perfect for multi-use on long trips when you want to minimize the weight...and the number of packed bags. It really works for me - I'm thinking of getting a third one!! - a dark brown (charcoal) :) -- I get so many compliments on these, but most people balk at the price. However, it's like having 2 - or even 3 bags in one - totally worth the price.
