Found hard to use
Price at review: £4.99So I didn't really get on with these. First impressions: the box is a bit ugly and tricky to use. It opens like matchbox with a sliding drawer which is just a bit awkward and liable to get the ear plugs trapped in the mechanism. On the plus side its probably less likely to fall open in your bag.One key feature missing is the box is effectively sealed and has places inside for water to get trapped. So if you use it at the poolside then you're likely to then have to figure out how to get the water out of the box. Leaving it to evaporate etc. It makes it a bit of a faff.I tried first the smaller of the plugs and they just didn't seem to want to go in my ear despite pushing them hard. I then tried the larger ones and to my surprise these actually worked better and I could tell my ear was sealed. I did a certain amount of underwater swimming and they seemed to stay sealed. My main problem was that I had to sort of force them in to my ears which created some pressure and felt uncomfortable.Overall I didn't think they were that useful. They probably block sound less than waterproof sound blocking ones and that can be an advantage but I found them quite difficult to use and ultimately not that comfortable due to having to stuff them in my ears.I don't think there are really clear instructions as to exactly how to apply them either. My ears might be weirdly shaped though so I will give them 4 stars as I haven't used anything better. I tend to use these ear drops which break the surface tension so water that goes in your ear rolls out again shortly after. So far I think I prefer using those but they have the disadvantage that you have to remember to do it some time before leaving to go swimming.I'm still on the hunt for the perfect swimming ear plugs, but these are okay and do work.PS. They do not float

Perfect for swimming
The media could not be loaded. These ear plugs by soul cap are a really good option if like me you suffer from water going into your ears when swimming. Inside the box is a large hard plastic storage container which is great for storing the plugs. They come with two different sizes in the packet one larger and a slightly smaller too. I ordered the light blue and I think the colour of them is great.I found that the larger ones fit really nicely for my ears. They're very soft so can be inserted into my ears with ease. Once inserted they feel comfortable and not noticeable after a while. They do reduce sound as would be expected but the best bonus is that they completely stop water ingress into my ears which is exactly what I wanted them for.I really like these, They're well made fit well and perform as would be expected.

Good swimming earplugs
These earplugs are great for swimming and help to protect your ears. I find this particularly important when swimming outside. They are very comfortable to wear, and the larger size fits securely in my ears. The silicone material is easy to clean.I'm not a fan of the box it comes in, when sliding it open or shut it is easy to trap and stretch an earplug. Also earplugs can't dry as there's no ventilation holes.Apart from the box design the rest of the product is great.

Blocks sounds and water, but be realistic about your expectations.
I didn't take these to the pool; I got them as a sleep aid, and for a bit of quiet during some noisy building work. They work okay for this purpose, muting most sounds, and if you've ever had silicone earphones that go into the ear canal, you'll be mostly familiar with what to expect. These come in a sturdy little plastic case, with two sets of ear plugs; one has a single cap on the end (like a regular set of earphones), and the other has a triple cap. I tested the triple cap only, as I thought this would block the most sound. They can be a little fiddly to get in, as they're much longer, and the silicone is quite flexible, but they stay there once in place.Performance is good, and comfort is just okay. There aren't any other end caps, so they may not fit your ears if you usually use a larger or smaller one.
