Mettadali Yoga Hand Towel (15" x 24") - Non Slip Resistant & Sweat Activated Gripping Microfiber - Super Soft, Absorbent & Fast Drying Towel (Gray)

I had to wait to write a review on Mettadali's yoga towel because I (stupidly) washed it with fabric softener the first time. DO NOT DO THIS! This towel is so nice and thick that fabric softener will make it too soft and will take a couple of washes to get it back to providing a satisfactory grip. This towel is tied for 1st place with Youphoria's yoga mat towel. It is the thickest yoga mat towel that I have, which is good, because I sweat like it's my job. (As a yoga teacher I guess it kind of is now?) It dries really quickly, stays in place on my mat, and still manages to be soft to the touch. I have a couple of towels that have great grip, but are a little rough to the touch. I've washed it 5+ times (never dry your yoga mat towels) and honestly...it keeps getting better. It hasn't shrunk and you can tell that it's made well. I would highly recommend this to everyone, but especially to anyone that sweats a lot during heated/hot yoga classes. Bye bye slipping hands and feet!

I LOVE this towel. I had combed the internet and searched through various reviews on towels before making my decision. Most hot yoga towels that do what they are supposed to do are around 70$ for just one of them. That is a hard price for me to swallow. But I didn't want a towel moving around on me or my hands slipping because then what's the point of buying one? I can just use a regular old beach towel and not spend ANY money if the towel doesn't do what it's supposed to do.This one basically hits the mark across all points. The corners make it stay where it's supposed to with minimal bunching up so I'm not constantly re-adjusting it, the spots that I wet down for my hands and feet were not slippery, it's a soft towel vs. some of the others that feel rough on my hands, and the price is fantastic. I also love the bright purple colour.I used the towel for the first time this morning in my hot yoga class (they heat it to around 105 degrees and I sweat like crazy) and the corners really keep it in place. It's a sturdy towel with good stitching. I hand washed it cold because I'd read some of the reviews complaining it shrinks. It does bleed but I probably wouldn't hand wash it with anything else anyway so it doesn't matter.Five stars for customer service as well. I had purchased two towels since it was 10% off two and wanted to be able to have a fresh one handy while one was being washed. I also have two mats I use for hot yoga and I had mistakenly thought one was 72" and not 68". Whoops. They're both 68". So I left the 72" one in its bag unopened, sent them a note this morning to ask about exchanging, and I got a response a few hours later with a return label and instructions on getting the new one for the right size. Super easy, super nice.

I like this towel a lot, and I've used about 4-5 different ones. The edge pockets are what keep it in place, but they work very well. I actually don't dampen this one as I've found it makes it slippery. The one thing is, it does shrink a few inches with washing :( I wish I had known that ahead of time so I wouldn't have dried it in the dryer, as it is a little short for my mat and causes the back edges to stick up a bit.

I bought a Jade Harmony yoga mat (the Harmony is 68” X 24”) and fell in love with the mat. However, I didn’t want to take my brand new totally amazing mat to hot yoga class and drench it – so I researched towels and waited for this to come in.It came in and I took it to hot yoga. I got there early and went in and set up, using this towel and its anchors on my still very new jade yoga mat, and because I had time, began to socialize (this is important). Class began and it was rough – at one point I had to wring my shirt out…It wasn’t until class was over and I was packing up that I even realized I was using the towel on the mat – it did not move, budge, slip, ANYTHING – I hadn’t even realized I was lowing on a towel and not just a mat!I also want to note that I was dripping sweat for an entire hour onto this towel and it never felt like a damp surface – and my mat was bone dry underneath.

I recently took up hot yoga and instantly feell in love with the practice, but I was tired of slipping on my mat mid way through class. I love the mat I have so I looked toward Yoga Towels as an alternative. So far this product has been great! It easily fits on my mat with corner pockets and I no longer slip or slide. I've washed it twice so far on a cold water setting and a gentle dry and it is holding up great.It stays on well enough that I can roll my yoga mat up with it if I am in a hurry to leave after class.Totally worth buying.

Great material and does the job of soaking up nasty sweat from hot yoga. Wish I had listened to the other reviewers when they said that after the first couple of washes it shrank a bit. I always air dried mine but that didn't matter. By the 3rd wash I couldn't put all 4 corners in the folds. I can still put 2 in and its just fine. I really liked the first couple of days when it fit the whole mat though :( hence the 3 stars given. Also like other reviewers said it is a bit slippery if you don't spray it a bit a head of time. Other than that it works really well. Great product.

I am so glad I got this towel! I have just started really getting into yoga practice. The only problem I really had was that my hands and feet slipped on my mat sometimes during power yoga or hot yoga classes. I have a mat already and I don't have a whole lot of money so I was really glad to find this mat on sale. I've only used it for one class so far, a power yoga class. The towel worked great, the corners stayed on the mat, and I did all the warrior poses and etc with no slipping at all. If I don't update this review, feel free to assume that it's working for me. I don't see any problems with the towel for hot yoga either, but I haven't took it to one yet.
