CorningWare20oz Blue Meal Mugs with Lids - 4 Pack

These are steal at around $20 . for 4!! In stores, one was often about $11. I have been "stalking" these for years, wanting to replace the 4 white ones i have owned since the 1980's. The lids on the white ones had some tomato stains and had darkened over time. There was also some etching on the insides of the mugs that was probable form utensils. I use these a lot, at least one most days.Now, as far as the new, blue ones...the appear to be identical, right down to the lids being interchangeable. However, the blue are substantially heavier. This would appear to be an upgrade, but I actually preferred the lighter ones because I have wrist issues. I will get used to the difference in weight, and I believe they will be durable and long - lasting, as well. The blue is just as it looks on the website...very pretty! Theses mugs are great for reheating leftovers. They easily fit a whole can of soup. the vented lids allow for less boil over. They're also great for cereal, yogurt and fruit, and on and on!! Both pieces go in the dishwasher, lids on top rack. Oh, those old, stained lids I mentioned...I kept them for chili or pasta warm - ups, so I don't stain the new ones.

These mugs are great for soups and stews. They are a great size to use as large ramekins if, for instance, you wanted to bake individual servings of something like a casserole or ziti. I like that they have their own microwave-safe lid, which is useful for reheating leftovers. I have tried them in the microwave and the ceramic doesn't get hot like my old "microwave-safe" soup bowls did. Also, love the cobalt color! It goes well with the rest of my dishes.Knowing that they are Corningware gives me the assurance that they will last a loooong time without chipping. I've owned Corningware baking dishes for 30 years without any chips.

Product arrived quickly and were exactly as pictured. The vented lid works incredibly well to heat up leftovers or a can of soup with no mess in the microwave, and with the vent closed, the lid is leak-proof, so they are great to take to work. Because they are made of thick material which holds the heat, the contents stay warm from the first bite to the last. I am very pleased.

We like these a lot! Really nice for microwaving soup. Only problem was one came with a sharp chip in the rim. (Not from shipping.) Paperwork said to contact Corningware directly. They shipped us a new one. No return hassles. Love the color too!

I like to eat a lot of soups, chili's, and stews and these have been my go-to soup mugs for packed lunches for several years. They are more expensive than anything you will find anywhere else however nothing can compare to the quality and durability of these CorningWare mugs. I've never had anything leak out of them and they clean up very very easily. The lid is prone to staining however you can spray it down with some bleach water or soak it in some bleach water and the stains come right out.

Replacement for 20 yr old ones. Or actually adding to. Great for heating up canned vegetables in the microwave, or soup. Love it for French onion soup!

I bought these mugs to make soup for my elderly aunt. Both she and I could not open/close the lids without struggling. The lid fits very tight, which is great for preventing leakage, but not great if you are trying to open or close the lid when there is hot soup inside.
