Misleading product
The item I received is not the item in the picture that I purchased. The container I received contained math number disks. These look nothing like the building manipulatives in the picture.

fun for creative builders but a ton of small pieces
This is any interesting building set. I have a 4 and half year old super builder who enjoys these. They take some getting used to and she needs our help so far. Unlike blocks, the individual pieces are more abstract and you need some creativity and experimentation to get to a structure. The photo examples are not easy to replicate. There are some really small pieces here and there are a ton of them! While nice to have a lot of building capability, I have a 2 and half year old that I don't really want playing with these yet. Some of pieces are just too small to be safe for her age range and it is really easy to make a huge mess with all these tiny pieces. I like that they come with a bag but wish it was nicer looking. I'll likely move these to a bin where you can see in a select pieces a bit better instead of my kid just dumping the bag out everywhere. Overall, I'm happy with these and think they'll be playing with them for the next several years.

It made for a lovely gift!
I gave these as a gift to a special needs child in the hospital. This child usually has a toy play range of 3+ years of age so I thought these would be a good fit. He also loves blocks and putting things together. He loved these and they held up with his play. It kept him entertained for awhile which his mother said was a blessing. She loved how they came in a cute little bag that is durable, and they all put away easy. He did have a hard time visualizing what to build with these since it is “different” than usual blocks - but he had a fun time clicking them together to make shapes. Overall, it was a good playtime for him, and built up creative juices. For an older and more advanced child I could see them doing fun things with these building pieces, including making fun 3D shapes.

Fun for parents, too
This toy is suitable for an age range of children, from those who will need adult assistance to those who can handle the pieces on their own. So it's a good thing that it's fun for parents. The pieces are generally much larger than Legos, and works well with little hands. The storage bag is nice, and one can only hope that a kid will find it fun to put everything back inside it, though I suspect the average child's room will have all 500 pieces strewn everywhere. Some of the shapes help give the child ideas (like stars), while others are neutral enough to fit in with any imagined construction. The colors are bright, and the plastic is easy to clean. The connecting rods look reasonably sturdy. This was a big hit with the 5-year-old I gave it to!

Many pieces!
We really like building toys. It keeps my children occupied and they can use their creativity. They can create something. This is a very fun toy. They played with it for a while, and had a lot of fun.We have many toys from this company. They make a lot of different products and we have generally been very happy with them. It worked well. This toy was durable. My kids can be a little rough with toys, but this continued to work just fine. We had no problemsI feel like this is good for child development. It kept my children's interest. It would also make a nice gift.I would recommend it.

Great fun for the munchkins
These building blocks are a lot of fun for the kids, and for you, too, if you want to help them. It’s a great shared fun and learning experience. They’re very similar in function to K’Nex, and with 500 pieces offer a broad range of building projects from which to choose. After building your project your budding engineer can play with the toy until bored, disconnect everything, and start an entirely new project.Lots of fun, and an outstanding value at Amazon’s current price of around eleven bucks. Five stars.

Best toys for above 5 yrs kids
This has colorful pcs to build a imagined constructions. With this kit you will also get the building designs samples, but creating our own is more fun.The sticks are made up of plastic and not have any sharp edges or sharp corners which can hurt little fingers.I think this will be good for 5 and above to hold and create their own imaginary constructions. For below 5, definitely need adult help or care to play with this toy.
