7 year old loves it!
Like most 7 year old boys, and most people for that matter, my 7 year old isn't interested in reading by himself if the books are boring. But given just the right amount of pictures and silly humor, he'll read by himself late into the night. This is the kind of book that keeps him up late! We love this series and can't wait for more.

Kid approved
My almost-3rd grader read the first book and had to have the second one. He really enjoyed it and finished it in one sitting. I don’t think it is a challenging text but it is very enjoyable and one he will read over and over again. Looking forward to the next book in this series!

Great graphic novel for kids.
I bought this for my 9 year old son who prefers to read graphic novels. This series is a step closer towards chapter books and more challenging words than dogman or max meow which my son also enjoys. Highly recommend.

The second real pigeons book
This is the 2nd title in a bestselling children's books series, soon to be hitting screens everywhere as an animated film and TV show.My grandson loves the Dav Pilkey books of dog man and cat kid, so I know he’s going to love this series by Andrew McDonald, as it’s in the same format of a black and white comic strip. The book is a soft back A5 size with 224 pages, with easy to read text. The book has 3 chapters, perfect for children who find it difficult to read large amounts of text. I’ve always believed, it doesn’t matter what children read, as long as they are reading. This type of book is perfect for my grandson, as he falls under the autism spectrum and finds it difficult to read pages and pages of text, he soon loses interest in the book, but he can cope with this sort of book, so much so, that he now draws and writes his own cartoon stories. The story follows a group of pigeons protecting their city from criminals, and this second book discovers how they infiltrate a secret warehouse, full of bottled birds and take down a truly criminal ostrich.I’m happy to recommend.
