I really like these but they are a tad tricky to get used to. You have to made sure the frosting isn't too hard or too soft because that makes a HUGE difference in how it comes out. I started using some frosting that had food coloring in it and it made it too soft and they didn't come out very well. Then I changed to just white buttercream and it was a little stiffer but as I used it it would get soft and not work as well and I needed to put it in the fridge for a little bit. I did look at all the pieces that I received and one of them appears to have some rust that is starting to appear. I wiped it clean and tried scrubbing it off but it's stained them. It has been incredibly humid lately and I'm sure that has had something to do with it. Other than that these are fantastic and will take some getting used to. The cupcakes we made were still delicious even though they didn't look exactly how they were supposed to. It was fun using them but I do have one complaint. The description said that it came with an instruction booklet or something like that. Turns out it is an online thing. I wish it had a little booklet or pamphlet to show basic tricks to use these or even something that shows which tip is going to make which flower.

These flower frosting tips are adorable!!! You get major value in this package; several icing bags, large and small tip adapters, and a bunch of beautiful icing flower tips with bonus leaves tip! I will say a definite technique is involved and if you aren’t a pastry chef or have a natural gift for using icing tips, you will need to practice quite a bit before it comes out perfect for you. However, the company provides lots of videos about how to use the tips and how to make the various designs. It’s worth learning how to master them because they are super cute. I have many different piping tips from a variety of retailers and this one is by far my least favorite. They worked and came out beautifully, they just broke down after making a few cakes. the end with the pattern started to bend and pieces fell off of them and I had to remake an entire batch of icing because i did not want to sift through to find them.if you are planing on using these once or twice then get it but other than that don't bother.

Didn't wind up using them for my intended decorating. There is a learning curve and I have decorated lots of wedding cakes.

They contacted me and sent me instructions on how to use the items. it may have said that in the description, but I never noticed. I was happy to get them

This is a high quality set with all I needed to get started using Russian piping tips. I got beautiful results almost right away! I did have some very limited experience years ago, so I wasn't starting from absolute scratch, but really, these tips are very easy to use. The mini cupcakes I decorated were the hit of the bridal shower. I got compliments from just about everyone--and the credit goes to these awesome tips, not to me.The metal tips are weighty and have clean, crisp cuts, which allows for good frosting flow through the openings. The bags are strong and heavy enough, and have a nice texture for easier gripping. The coupler is a very adequate heavy plastic with nice smooth edges. There's even a standard leaf tip included, so I really had all I needed to get started making gorgeous flowers. There are sets that contain way more tips, but this set has plenty to get started with. You get a solid selection of tools for a very reasonable investment.These flower tips are fun and easy to work with and give very rewarding results. Highly recommended.
