It works wonderfully

Was easy to use and a more affordable way to dethatched my lawn. Will know its effectiveness in the spring.

I read the reviews and even went to the manufacturer's website to learn as much as I could about it. I took a chance and so glad I did. It was easy to use and follow directions. Our grass is so much greener (I didn't think it possible since it's already really green), thicker, and grows quicker than before (I'm not too thrilled with this because have to cut grass more frequently). I have less than .5 acres and used 1.5 bottles on my lawn (setting 4 of Ortho Dial N Spray). I have bought several more bottles of these to use throughout the year. I highly recommend this product.

No idea if it works because it was delivered without an applicator connect to the hose.

I've used Covington Dethatcher every spring and fall for several years now. My grass has transformed from St. Augustine with patches and lots of weeds to a dominant St. Augustine grass lawn. Looks better than the neighbor's lawn who used some service?This fall I ordered my Dethatcher. When it arrived, I opened it, and the seal under the cap was half torn off. I called Covington's customer service and talked to Steve Davidson. Without a question, he shipped out a new bottle free of charge. He also said he'd send me a new tree and shrub product they're developing next spring.No hassle, no arguing, just straight up customer service. And on top of that Steve answered their phone. Get that. No computer. No robot voice. No pressing a multitude of selections to get through. Just a human being answering the phone. WOW.

This was my first experience with a liquid dethatcher and as far as I can tell it was a complete waste of money. Before applying I raked up as much old thatch as I could. There was a decent amount as it’s centipede grass and the previous owner neglected it. Over the next few months I applied this liquid dethatcher as instructed next to an area I left alone as a control and…they look exactly the same. Both areas have the same level of deep thatch buildup with the applied spot being identical to the control and everywhere else in my yard. I have no idea why this product exists as it feels like a placebo.

Don't bother. Too expensive! Two weeks and nothing! Weed component coming in and no visible reduction in thatch. Followed directions to the "t" and have extensive experience on these applications. Now putting on detaching equipment to compensate! Waste of money!
