Sparkles. Huh, okay. Guess I can live with that.
The photo gave the impression of a polished aluminum surface. It is smooth, but also subtly textured in a way that causes it to sparkle. I cannot agree with the word "matte" in the description. The surface isn't glass-like, but it's pretty reflective. Shimmery. It was also accompanied by a pink microfiber cloth. My first impression was of a case more feminine than I expected. But it does open and close smoothly, and it feels sturdy, so not a bad product. And the edges have been burnished well. It looks like it could scratch or cut if handled the wrong way, but it doesn't. I ran my fingers carefully over the entire thing. I think I'll keep it.

Adequate for My Purposes
When I bought this, the color was listed as "indigo blue," and I had hoped it was a metallic blue-gray color. I'm glad to see the color has been corrected to "Gun-grey," because there isn't anything blue about it. It is a tad lighter than gunmetal gray. The case seems to be designed for reading glasses or regular glasses with fairly small to medium frames. It's a bit thicker than I had hoped, but works well for my reading glasses. The lining has held up well and is adequately protective. The cleaning cloth that came with the case is a nice touch. It's not exactly what I wanted, but it's adequate for my purposes.

Decent lightweight case for typical glasses in chest pocket, probably not for back pocket or for large designer frames
This is a great case for carrying glasses in a chest pocket at work, where pocket space is limited, and where light weight is important when wearing a typical dress shirt at work. These fit my typical men's aviator style glasses, but probably won't fit large designer frames. I would suggest measuring glasses if unsure (I did - no wasted space). The metal is surprisingly stiff, and has protected my glasses well. It has also survived several flights in a carry-on bag. However, I doubt the case would survive in a back jeans pocket when sitting.

Good case that holds up well
I've owned this case for 2 years. It's protected my glasses well over the years. The inside is lined with a felt like material that hasn't ever scratched my polycarbonate lenses. It's taken beatings when traveling and in my pockets. My glasses are always protected. As others have mentioned, larger glasses might not fit. My prescription sunglasses barely fit. My regular glasses fit well. I highly recommend this eyeglasses case.

It's large enough!
I have a large head, which means large glasses. I have the largest size of browline glasses they make and they fit great in this case. Snaps shut (which is great because I seem to drop my glasses a lot and I'm confident this won't pop open on impact ). Has a cool asymmetrical lid design (If you care about that kind of thing). Very strong metal and weighs next to nothing.

Good case
This is a good case, but it appears to be flimsier than the last one I ordered a few years ago. Seems like they started using thinner metal. But it still provides better protection than the cheap cases that come with glasses.

Good for glasses with average-sized lenses.
This protects glasses very well. I only took a star off because it is a little small. Even reasonably sized glasses can be a tight fit -- forget about big Jackie O sunglasses.

I thought it was super cute and looked sturdy to keep her glasses safe
I purchased these for my daughter's glasses. I thought it was super cute and looked sturdy to keep her glasses safe. When we got it in the mail I was excited to see it was indeed cute. But guess what her glasses did NOT even fit in them!! So sad because they could have been put to good use instead if sitting in my shelf collecting dust!
