B&W Trailer Hitches Patriot 18K Rail Mounted Slider Fifth Wheel Hitch - RVK3270

The unit is made from very think material. The base is heavy but it is a fifth wheel hitch so that is to be expected. Very easy to put together and install but have an extra hand around when installing it.

This B&W hitch is the top of the line product. Easy to install and to remove if needed. NOW, as for the trucking company that this company uses to deliver (Not Amazon) is AWFUL!!! Not on time delivering and I mean for days after the date and their customer service is terrible!!!! (Meyer Trucking/Delivery Co.) You're better off driving to Orlando FL picking up the hitch yourself. We had to reschedule installation date by a week and reschedule our vacations days.

Appears to be very well made. Slide mechanism is a very smooth operation and the Coupler head can easily be installed/removed by one person. The hitch was easy to assemble, though the hitch is much heavier than 52#. My guess is the base alone is closer to 100# and the coupler head is 20#. Note, the assembly instructions are not in the booklet provided, but is in the letter size envelope. The instructions were clear and relatively easy to understand.My previous hitch by another manufacturer had 1/8”+ movement in all directions, which is definitely not desirable. This hitch fits into my universal bed rails like a glove. Once it’s locked in place with the provided rail pins, there isn’t any movement of the hitch at all!

We were replacing an old clunky 5th wheel hitch and B & W was recommended when we purchased our new 5th wheel. It seemed expensive, but after reading reviews decided to purchase. It is worth every penny! Can't believe what a breeze it is to hook up and unhook the 5th wheel using this B & W hitch, only takes a couple of minutes! If you are traveling and moving a lot, this is the hitch to have. We were able to use our existing rails from the prior 5th wheel hitch, but It is heavy so you may need help installing.

Smooth operation, great quality, shipped fast

I'm just going to say I'm extremely happy with this purchase. It was delivered super fast and was put together and in my truck in about 30 minutes. Day and night difference pulling my camper with this hitch. Wish I had bought it sooner. Not a issues for me but maybe others is this hitch is very heavy of you do not have a good back. If you need something that needs to go in and out of your truck ofter I would reccomend looking at other options but for a sliding hitch I say this is second to none

Unit was fairly easy to put together. This thing weighs a ton. I have only pulled about a mile with it but I must say it didn’t chuck a lot and even though my camper was on very unlevel ground the hitch opened and closed very easy. I will update later if any issues.***Update***I’ve had this unit about 4 years now. If I had to guess I’ve pulled my fifth wheel 30,000 + miles and with this hitch you have almost no chucking, noise or anything. It’s a great unit. Again the only downfall is the weight of the hitch itself but I feel the weight gives it the sturdiness so I can live with it.

This hitch is a quality product. It's easy to use and everything works as advertised. It's VERY heavy so make sure you have someone to help you lift it into place. Fit and finish of the product was flawless.Once the rails (Curt Mfg) were installed this hitch dropped right into the holes in the rails. Locks and unlocks quickly and easily and slides smoothly when needed. The 5th wheel plate is installed and removed easily by one person.Once installed I tested it by hooking up to the 5th wheel trailer. I backed the truck into place and the jaws locked around the king pin securely. Pull test passed and all went well. Unlocking and unhitching were just as easy.I'd not hesitate to buy another B&W product.
