Was a bit dubious about how well it would work, but it does. Put it on the stairs where the cat has been scratching and she hasn't done it since. The only problem is that each time I tape a step, she starts on another one.The product itself though is great. Easy to cut to size and sticks firmly. Was worried it would be slippery on the stairs but not at all.

Fairly easy to apply and has kept 9 cats at bay for the time being!It's thick and sturdy and very sticky and I think having it on a roll is better than pre cut strips so you can just cut to the size needed. I like the fact there is no backing tape like some similar products. Some people have commented you get loads on a roll, though I ran out pretty quickly so will have to order some more.

Perfect to stop the new cat scratching my new sofa! Peels off ok to without damaging the fabric.

Good thick tape. Cats claws are just sliding of the furniture. Maybe my furniture will last longer.Very strong.

I bought this before and it came with backing paper to easily roll out and cut to size. Now you have to roll out sticky. So you either cut your couch when cutting it, or roll out on a counter and it keeps sticking to itself. Also too thick for proper adhesion. Waste of money

This kit is a roll of clear sticky-backed plastic - just like you'd use to protect books or appear on Blue Peter - together with some funky curly pins. If your only measure is whether it stops the cat scratching the furniture, it does indeed do that. But your furniture now has bits of sticky back plastic all over, plus curly pins for the grandchildren to play with. I have it on the worst cat-target and will see how it goes, but I'd expected something a bit more cunning than a Blue Peter project.

EDIT: I have been in contact with the company and been sent a replacement. And working great so far and no more bugs! My poor cats are very disappointed with the lack of scratching!I had repurchased this as it’s worked brilliantly so far on my sofa and I needed some for my carpet.As I was half way through the roll I noticed a bug was stuck inbetween the plastic cover and coating, clearly been done when produced but it’s unable to be removed as it’s so stuck. I wish Amazon made it easier to contact the seller to make them aware without returning as I can’t return it!

I love this product. It’s thick and won’t allow the cats to scratch the couch. I love the format too…. In a roll making it easy to cut off that you need. It also has graph marks on the back of the paper to accurately cut what you need. No more crooked lines. It’s easy to peel too because there’s a recession in the plastic, on the paper. If all that wasn’t amazing enough, there’s screw pins to secure the plastic and extra sticky squares to secure edges. Amazing product and I would definitely order again!

This product works my cat won’t come near my couch .

This stuff is great, high quality and it works! My mom’s cat was scratching all of her furniture so I decided to give this plastic a try and boy, am I glad that I did. It’s much thicker than I had imagined and the adhesive on the back really sticks well. It comes with a smoothing tool for pressing it down and also some upholstery screws and sticky squares for holding it in place. I didn’t need either of those things because the adhesive backing worked so well. I highly recommend this product if you have a scratcher!
