Only a short time to use it, but my preliminary experiences so far are highly positive. I'm making a lot of X-acto knife cuts and this mat seems to absorb the cuts as well as anything. I've had a stiff green mat for ages. I can't remember the brand but it was more than likely picked up in a B&M art or office store. It's nowhere near the quality of mat this one is. Good layout for measurements too.Was hard to pick one of these blind when Amazon has such a huge selection and there is no way to physically test anything out. I trusted the reviews on this one and am glad I did in this case. Excellent mat and a high value at it's price point.Just wish they made a size that covered my entire art table.

The product works as intended. Mine just has a curl to one of the corners now because I put a warm bowl of ramen noodles on it and it warped the material. I realize this is totally my fault and not what the product was intended for, but I still would have expected it to handle it better than it did. It still works though. Just not ramen resistant. You are forewarned.

This item was packed well so my mat arrived flat. Before purchasing this I had read comments regarding possible chemical (?) smell that seems to plaque mats (mainly green mats). Well, there was a slight smell, but I am happy to say once I took it out of the box the smell disappeared in a few minutes. Also, it is very well made, and I would buy it again.

Really nice. Self healing works and I press really hard. Wish the numbering was also on the outside of the measurement border. One of the few that has metric on one side and inches on the other. Glue cleans off ok.

I've been using one I got a Wal-Mart 20 years ago. Wow, what a difference!!!! Didn't realize how bad my old one was. Sometimes you need to replace your equipment. I'm working on a memory quilt and this makes cutting blocks so much easier. Definitely recommend.P.S. Can I meet Steve?

Nice placemat, easy to clean. If this is no leak for the liquid that will be even better! Overall is not a bad product.

Does what it should - protect the table top, provide visual reference lines and measurement.

I love this mat. It's nice and thick and protects my working surfaces well. In fact, I'm going to order two more smaller ones. I really like that it's not green like most of the other mats.
