San Diego Hat Co. Women's UBL420LGXCF, Mixed Coffee, One Size

This is not “one size” - it’s a large. Says so right on the tag. And wayyy… too big for my average sized head. Other vendors here & elsewhere sell this hat by size so I’ll be returning and finding another. Super cute hat though!

I liked this so much, that I bought another one in black.

I love the size of the brim. That was not a problem for me at all. I had skin cancer and must be ultra careful of the sun. The problem was that it's misleading because it says one size, and unisex but it is huge. I have a 23" circumference head and this hat is swimming on me. I'm so sad because I could not find the correct size on the San Diego Hat website, they are out of stock. I am not rating the quality of the hat, it is definitely terrific, I am only rating the misleading description for Amazon.

The hat itself is great but I have a normal to large head size and makes me look like a baby wearing that Pharrel hat. Who is this made for? Are there humans with this head size?

Hat is comfortable, but a slight tear in the stitching that would have made it fall apart. But my dog got ahold of it, and it survived that in one piece, so it's fairly durable.

I have been wearing this style of San Diego for years. Its not perfect, but its sturdy, won't blow off your head easily and provides great coverage of your face and neck. I wear mine almost every day, working outside. I get mine dirty and sweat a lot. It gets a little droopy when used like this, but lasts about a year. Straw hats at almost too light and do not last nearly as well. The hiking type sun hats are too floppy.

Great hat. Shipped in a plastic bag and was totally crushed. They also sent a size large, not medium, which is really annoying because it was a last minute purchase before a trip and there is no way I’ll get another one in time. Amazon, get it together.

I love the San Diego hat company and have owned many hats over the years. This hat is a bit too deep so it will pull down far on your head unless your head is quite bigger than mine. Brim is comparable to my older hat but it feels really large. Probably just stiff because it’s new. Maybe this isn’t the perfect hat for me because it doesn’t fit like my older one....excellent quality. Just too deep on my head. I’m keeping it and I’ll work with it to see how it softens up.

Can't say enough about how much I loved this hat for our recent trip to the Caribbean. With my voluminous hair, the large size was perfect for a comfortable fit. The wide brim provides full coverage for mom (and provided that additional shade for baby when held/near my mom!). The synthetic material means the hat is flexible (unlike straw hats) and therefore more durable and less fragile when packed in bag. Still made sure to pack in the middle of my suitcase with clothes stuffed inside the head compartment to maintain shape.
