Quailty case foam.
Called "gun case foam", but really more generically known as "case foam". This is the right stuff for filling protective cases for delicate items -- and guns, I suppose. So far I've used it in cases designed to protect microscope parts; camera gear; and small musical instruments. Nice dense foam, it's got the perfect combination of stiffness and flexibility. Securely holds items pushed into it, yet resilient enough to protect them from damage. As a bonus, it seems to be relatively static-free as well. One note of caution: do NOT try to cut this stuff with one of those small soldering iron-like tools designed for Styrofoam -- they leave a ragged edge and create a nasty stink. Instead, cut it easily and cleanly with an electric carving knife, small hole saws or a razor blade. This is great stuff: I keep finding new uses for this foam, and have ordered a bunch in various thicknesses.

Very good quality foam.
This stuff is very stiff, and has the perfect amount of give.I got the 3" thick stuff and it does what I need perfectly.
