This Morakniv Bushcraft Tactical knife features a burly, 1/8-inch (3.2 mm) thick, 4.3-inch long, razor-sharp Sandvik stainless steel blade. The blade is partially serrated at the base near the finger guard and is treated with an anti-corrosive black coating. The 90-degree spine of the blade has also been specially ground for use with a fire starter and for making tinder shavings. Features an ergonomic, double-molded rubber handle with high-friction grip and finger protection. Includes a heavy-duty Nylon MOLLE-compatible sheath with bungee-style retention strap. Sandvik stainless steel blades are ideally suited for marine, fishing, outdoor and construction applications, where knives see hard use and are commonly exposed to dirt and moisture. The chromium content of stainless steel makes them less susceptible to corrosion and oxidation than carbon steels, giving them a longer life overall. Sandvik knife steels are characterized by ultra-fine carbides that result in superb forging and hardening properties. The absence of large carbide deposits promotes excellent edge sharpness for optimum cutting performance. Morakniv has been manufacturing the highest-quality knives in Mora, Sweden since 1891.

Serrations on the right side? Great knife for Kayakers, fishermen and bushcraft!
I think this Mora Tactical with serrations is an excellent knife for those who don't like serrations on the inside cut of the blade, these ones are on the outer edge. Right handed people always complain about hating serrations because they feel like they are on the wrong side, but with practice serrations can be amazing for the woods esp fire craft. If you use this Mora Black Tactical the serrations hardly even cause any drag when cutting feather sticks its almost 98% the same as using a normal edge. I was blown away by this and realized this is the knife people are looking for who need the serrations for cutting rope or fishline but also want a nice smooth cut when using it in camp or to make traps. The Mora Bushcraft black tactical also has a way better sheath then its cousins, the molly webbing is perfect for rafting, kayaking and fisherman but also bushcrafting camping tasks. This knife has a wicked edge and honestly it wants to eat wood its the most aggressive Mora I've ever used, I love the knife its a good blade. I got mine for 35$ so I'm a bit conflicted cause I think the asking normal price is way to high, if its a knife you really want shop around cause you can find them under $50. I dock this knife one star because sharpening the knife near the serrations where they left a quarter inch of straight edge by the handle is a pain in the bum. All is good, honestly just keep it stropped and ya won't need to worry about it that much anyways. Hope this review helps cause their ain't much out there on this knife.

Down and Dirty a great knife.
Since I was kid I have always had a odd fasanation for knives. What's wrong with me? At any rate, over the years I have collected a foot locker full of them. I own inexpensive production runs to custom made one of a kind knives worth big $$$. I have more than a few Mora knives. One of the first knives that came my way as a kid was a old Mora I still have to this day. This Bushcraft is a solid quality piece of work for the $30 you will have to spend. It's one of those knives that immediately feels great in your hand when you pick it up for the first time. I especially like the handle. It's configuration and the material it's made of convey a velvety non-slip feeling of comfort and control. Personally, I think the plastic sheaths are practical and functional but, I understand a lot of people like leather. However, I wouldn't pass this knive up because of the sheath. Buy the knive and find another sheath for it - if that's what you want. It's worth it.

They should charge more!
Man! What a great knife!Shaved the hair off my arm out of the box!Took it hunting and used it for some camp tasks like cooking and cutting rope. Also batoned wood, made some feather sticks, and used the back end on my ferro rod!Knife preformed great and still can shave the hair off my arm!Only thing that would make it better is if Mora made a full tang with this handle!!!

Quality yet inexpensive tactical stainless steel serrated utility knife for my tool bag :)
Morakniv Bushcraft Black Serrated Knife with Serrated Sandvik Stainless Steel Blade and MOLLE-Compatible Sheath. I paid $35 for this, I can't see paying over $45 for this knife. This is designed and made in Sweden, with excellent craftsmanship! I purchased this to go in my tool bag as a general inexpensive utility knife. Will fit men's small to large hands perfectly, comfortable and ergonomic with a durable rubber grip. The sheath is surprisingly high quality and well-designed for what it is. This is exactly what I was looking for :)

Great knife, subpar sheath.
Great knife, subpar sheath. It needs to have an integrated belt hook/clip. The detachable one it comes with swivels around. I taped it in place with gaffers tape and it holds still but that’s a ghetto rig. The knife is perfect and well worth the $40 by its self so I’m not too bummed.

Wow...must have item!
Outstanding blade and superior quality!!! Field tested this knife last weekend and was not disappointed. Mora hit a home run with this knife! Shoots sparks from a ferro rod like 4th of July fireworks. Beat the hell out it and it still slices paper with ease. No...I did not resharpen.

This is a fantastic knife. You cant beat it for a Bushcraft blade. You don't really need the serrations but they are there. The sheath works way better than just the plastic one. It came razor sharp out of the box and excels at making fuzz sticks and fine shavings for lighting fire. And the 90 degree spine is what you need to strike on your ferro rod to make sparks. Great product.
