Elegant Cooling Solution
First Impressions:After opening the box I noticed that it was packed really well in the box. Typically large items are susceptible to damage during transit, but that should not be a worry when purchasing this product; all the parts should come in perfect condition. A nice little touch was the addition of the extra screw and drain plug just in case!Assembling the fan was simple with the added security provided by non-threaded, holes for the screws; a Phillips-head screwdriver is all you need.Another positive is that it looks really nice and has garnered the attention of my family in which they literally said, "Wow."The fan is plenty strong with three settings for low, medium, and high speeds. The cooling feature is a relief to have given the high temperatures during summer times. It also includes a simple remote that works well and has an easy-to-read label."Wow I am actually cold now."-MomTLDR:This fan is feature-packed, strong, and easy on the eyes.

A very expensive Tower Fan
I had high hopes for this, but it flunked every test. I had shopped Amazon, made a shopping list, and narrowed it down and chose this. Bad choice. It did not cool at all, and I live in a perfect location, Arizona. I simply wanted it to cool a 150 square foot bedroom so I could sleep comfortably without turning my central air down for my entire home. With 15% humidity in my home to work with according to my indoor/outdoor weather station, it still had no cooling effect at all. Already having knowledge about swamp coolers before deciding to purchase one, there was no reason for this to fail other than it is not a good swamp cooler. The unit looks great, and the pump pulled the water fine, but it blew air the same temperature as the room. I did the ice water and ice packs too, even though I knew they shouldn't be necessary; evaporator cooling is based on moisture alone on a cooling pad converting warm dry air to cool moist air. The temperature of the moisture is not of high importance or you might as well just put out a bucket of ice water and blow a fan across it. Unfortunately, that would have worked better than this. Here in Arizona people literally use roof units of swamp coolers to cool their entire homes, and they have no choice but to pipe warm water into their roof units, and it still fills their home with cool moist air. The idea of needing to add ice packs is downright silly, and fortunately, unnecessary.Last thing, in my two attempts running this unit and it not blowing any cool air, it still went from Max fill, to the Minimum line in just over 3 hours, so if by some odd chance it does work for you, expect 3 to 4 hours maximum of cooling; set your timer accordingly or the water pump can be damaged; it will not shut off automatically when low.I already submitted my return, and chose a different unit with a much larger water tank and much higher cfm for a similar price. I hope I got it right this time, but I know for sure this one is not worth purchasing.

I had a problem and it was solved satisfactory-
I purchased this item because of the reviews it is the least effective cooling unit in our house.Works OK as a humidifier -issue I had been identified and they fixed it.Thank you

Only lasted 2 summers and stopped turning on
Decided to spend the extra money to help with cooling down an area of my home where my HOA doesn't allow me to install window AC units, that also gets tons of sun throughout the entire day. It did help cool a little but the maintenance was more than what I do for my 1.5 gallon humidifier. Had to be cleaned every 4-7 days or it would start to build up an array of bacteria, mold and scale in the small compartment. Also since none of it comes apart like a humidifier, had to bring the whole unit to the tub to clean it out thoroughly.Bought mine in May 2022 and today in August 2024, it died. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that some of the lights on the top panel were dimming. Then the cooling function didn't seem to work anymore, just the regular fan. The oscillating button was the first to completely dim out and stop working when I would press it. Then the other functions slowly started to go and while it was on, blowing air in only one direction, it just turned off. I tried plugging it into 4 other outlets in different rooms and none of them worked. Considering how much this cost, I would have rather bought a regular tower fan.

Simply Not Enough Cooling Relief
I really wanted this "portable air conditioner" to work, but it just doesn't cool me off enough when I'm working away in the hottest room of my house.I started off by keeping the fan on the floor farther away from me so the fan wasn't in the way of me leaving my office. That was bad. Then I bought a small table at a thrift store, put the fan on it, and positioned it inches away from me while I'm working at my desk. This worked better. I refrigerated a gallon jug of water, and froze the 4 ice packs that were included. When the water is cold and the packs are frozen, the fan does blow cool, but this lasts for less than an hour.Bottom line: when all my office electronics are on and warm, combined with me in the center and also warm, the fan doesn't cool for anywhere near an 8 hour day. I do have to refill the reservoir at the 4 hour mark, and the cold water blows cool for a little while. But when the ice packs are melted, the refill cool might last for 20 minutes.I live in Phoenix, so the summers are long and hot. Still not willing to crank my house A/C down to 65 so I don't sweat while working in my office. Maybe I'll look at a real room AC next.
