Connects the short little cord on the heated bird bath to the house current. In use outside, 24/7, in all weather (rain and cold). The temps have been below zero this week, and the backyard birds, squirrels, and (spayed and neutered) feral cats all drink from it. Highly recommend the cord and ESPECIALLY the heated bird bath. Will get another as soon as I can get an outlet installed in the front of the house. May try a large heated dog bowl there. That would probably be enough for the little critters in the winter (please don’t chain your dog outside). Since November, have only observed one bird actually in the birdbath; but like I said, everyone drinks from it. Birds and other wildlife need to drink in the winter as well as in the summer, and there is very little water available. Item came quickly and well packaged.

Good product, works well. It's very difficult to find a black extension cord in this particular link and I am trying to hide it around my pond instead of the bright orange ones. Get the job!
