Jokes on you if you buy this book...
The book is nicely made and feels good in your hand. Beyond that it's pretty sad. The book claims it's not full of raunchy jokes, so I don't know what they consider raunchy but we have a different definition. I'm not saying every joke is raunchy but there are enough of them peppered in there that it's not worth the read. I've read other books from the publisher like "Stuff Every Man Should Know" and they are pretty good little books. This one is a sad addition to those. Not funny, you're better of going to the dollar store and buying a joke book there.

Outdated, classic “groaners”
Pretty Awful stuff: recycled 1950’s-type material featuring an embarrassingly outdated White Christian Hetero-centric worldview that is decidedly unfunny. I somehow ordered this by mistake after reading a sample on my Kindle. I might send it back, but I worry that, then, someone else may accidentally read it.I updated my rating from 1 star to 3, ‘cause I discovered that several of these jokes are way more fun to tell than they are to hear told. It can be almost like a sadistic pleasure watching people wince at the punchlines.

Some good jokes, some not so good
I bought this book in order to learn some jokes to tell my grandchildren. The book partly succeeded, as there are some good, clean jokes in the book. But there are also a bunch which are on the shady side, and definitely not part of the jokes I would want to tell children, or for that matter, adults as well. Maybe one-third of the jokes were suitable for re-telling.

LOL
The introduction of this book had me laughing. Mr. Steinberg knows how to write, and how to write funny, and his taste in jokes are impeccable.I've heard versions of some of these during the past four decades, and it was delightful to read them in this book.

Great joke book.
I bought this s a gift for my husband and he read through it in one sitting. Some of the jokes we had heard before, but most were knew. He liked how it also has side notes in it giving tips about how to tell some of the jokes best.

Mandatory guy book
The jokes in this book are perfect for those times when the fish aren't biting or your friends are watching you cook burgers. With a little discretion the jokes are OK for most anyone. I had the wife in tears more than once. I'm back to buy a copy for my son-in-law.

Not just for boys
Bought this for an older nephew and had a glance before wrapping. 15 minutes later I was still reading, joined by my daughter who heard me laughing. Generally good stuff and I told a couple of slightly rude ones to my parents. I don't know that many jokes so most of them were new to me. A few were definitely OTT so not for kids.

Small pocket sized, but very average jokes
Bought this for a leaving present for a colleague who was known for his bad jokes, so giving him this was a joke in itself. Just as well I wasn't expecting much since a lot of the jokes weren't very good. So I guess my former colleague will continue telling bad jokes afterall. lol

perfect stocking filler.
Difficult to know what to give the man who has everything but this was an ideal present for a family friend who kept us entertained with jokes the whole evening.
