One for the shelf and get your bookmarking tabs ready. This is my Bible of smoothie books.
This is my favorites I all-time smoothie book that is not only effective but very informative and broken down in a way that is easily digestible (no pun intended) aka understandable. It is also broken down by sections ranging from anything like fat burner smoothies, brain boosters, muscle building, blood sugar, cancer fighting smoothies backed by research from different universities around the world that indicate positive results that could lend to the aid of any of these sections in the book. I have been using this book for I dare say 5 years now? It has allowed me to burn fat and the app I use tracks these recipes that I input allowing me to see my calorie intake as well as my calorie burn and a nutritional wheel showing me what’s been added to my daily values for fat, carbs and protein as well as my micro nutrients. These recipes have helped me in the past along with a lot of walking and hiking as well as cycling because my knees and back just can’t take running anymore. I have never been a runner but I am prior military a little banged up so low impact exercise it is! Tracking my food and working out before I eat so that my body goes after my fat reserves first and not what I just put in my belly. I could burn 450 cal on a walk but I ate 500 cal so I’m still a -100 cal! That’s no Bueno! I have to burn more than I consume and I have to consume enough to sustain my energy and keep my calorie intake for the day around 1500 cal. If I can’t get a workout in that day that I’m going to have to adjust my intake. This book helps me get there! I use it for breakfast and I use it for lunch. I sometimes use it as a snack. I don’t have a nice meal in the evening or maybe it’s a lunch and then a smoothie for Dinner? It all depends. My meals consist of fish, chicken, albacore tuna, occasionally some steak, shrimp, sandwich wraps, salads with fajita chicken, healthy pizzas made from millet crust bought at the health food store nearby. It’s a build your own pizza were you gonna put on your own toppings. My pizzas are 100 cal per slice and eight slices for a 12 inch pizza. Not bad! I can’t say enough about this book. My daughter has watched me shave 163 pounds in 8.5 months. 1500 cal a day intake and sometimes 1800. I’m 6 foot one and I recently remarried and drink Covid gained a lot of weight. LOL it’s not back on track with my Apple Watch to track my heart rate and exercise as well as the app I use to watch these to communicate and I can log my food and weigh myself Entering all that data. It’s quick, it’s easy. Once you learn how and have the right tools a.k.a. this book! Along with other ones like Rachel Bellars book(s) “eat to lose, eat to win”. A good blender and a good bathroom scale. A lot of other smoothie books out there but this one is the most informative and targets what I’m looking for and easy to read and understand. Mind you, you can’t just do one thing I expect to lose all that weight. You have to drink upwards of a gallon of water a day, work out before you eat, weigh yourself daily and log it into the app that I use which is called “lose it“ and have some way of tracking your footsteps whether it’s a Fitbit or a Garman watch or an iPhone Apple Watch but make sure it has a heart rate monitor on it. It makes a big difference because the equation changes when it comes to tabulating your calorie burn for the day. Without knowing what your heart rate claimed to it’s going to give you a much lower calorie burn as a result miss leading you. I try to leave about 1000 cal on my plate every night. If I don’t have enough I go out for an extra walk. I walk fast enough to get my heartbeat above 90 and below 120 bpm.

If you only want one smoothie book, get this one.
I recently started making smoothies everyday. I bought a few books and by far this one offers the most bang for the buck. It's like a mini nutritionist handbook with delicious & comprehensive recipes that are easy to follow and don't require a real crazy grocery list... (although there are items like protein powder, nutritional yeast, electrolyte powder & taurine powder that I will eventually learn to use and add)HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for the smoothie beginner. This book does not offer colorful photos of smoothies--which don't help me anyway--It simply provides TONS of information about the fruits, spices and proteins your body most appreciates and why, their purposes, benefits of certain foods, how your body uses them and great notes on how to improve your health and beat all kinds of ailments. Nutritional content, serving size and calorie count is listed with every recipe. The only thing this book is MISSING are recipes with GREENS or more vegetable based smoothies.

Lots of ideas with many ingredients
This book has lots of different recipes and ingredients for making quite a variety of smoothies. I personally like to have pictures in my books, but there are none in this one. That is just a personal preference though. She has lots of recipes that include ingredients that I don't use such as tofu, dairy products, coffee, etc. Some of the ingredients may be a bit exotic for some such as electrolyte powder. There are certainly other options out there, but unless someone is well versed in nutritional raw materials, they may not know what else can be used. I use this book as a resource, but I am well educated enough to make my own recipes, but if you are in a slump and need some ideas, this is a great book to have.

Great Starter Smoothie Book
This was the first book about smoothies that I purchased and it really helped me. I've been making smoothies ever since, although it is difficult to follow the recipes to the exact ingredients. I do not keep ingredients such as Xylitol, magnesium, or lecithin in my pantry. Other than that, it gave me some pretty good ideas. On another note, the book has not held up well over the years, as the pages have yellowed and the cover is brittle.Still I would recommend the book for anyone looking to get started into making smoothies.

Always looking for good ideas....
This book is a must have for smoothie enthusiasts. I make roughly 5 smoothies per week and new ideas are hard to come by. This book gave me a wealth of new ideas and recipes. Unlike most books this also has the nutritional information with each recipe, a plus for those trying to lose weight. The author is a nutritionist, so she offers clear, concise explanations of the benefits of using certain fruits, veggies, and minerals to use for particular issues like weight loss, fatigue, and stress.

Another awesome book
I love this book. Its great for your everyday use. Incorporating more fruits and vegetables into your day regulates your bowel movements as they should be 5-6 times daily. Nobody does go that many times because of all the junk we are used to eating. This is an awesome book to get you going through deliciously made smoothies.

Product was NOT brand new as stated. Book was clearly worn and used. Edges are curled up and there's even stains on cover, front and back.

Great book for healthy smoothies
This book is not only packed with healthy smoothie recipes, it is packed full of information on what ingredients to use and how they each benefit your body. All the information here goes well beyond what I expected for a recipe book.
