Really Cute & Fun!
This is a great kit for teaching kids how to do sand art. It's a very giftable kit, the frames can be a bit wonky so be patient with that when it comes to adding the photo to the frame. I also suggest you secure the photos to the frames with a piece of tape. That is the only complaint I have about this set is that the frames should have come with a backing in order to keep those cute pictures more secure. This is also quite a messy project, but I've done lots of messier ones with the kids. The color guide on each photo is very easy to read and follow. This would make a great crafting gift as well, for kids probably 6+ as long as they have patience with stuff like this. I hope you find this review helpful!

READY 2 LEARN Sand Art
This is a nice art set. It resembles paint by numbers but with sand. It's definitely not for younger kids- the box says 5+ and my almost 3 year old kept wanting to scratch the sand off. All the 4 paintings are sea themed. The reason I took off one star however is because the numbers don't peel off cleanly. The paper gets stuck to the other pieces and if it peels off a tiny bit you can't really put it back on and the sand of whatever color you are on gets under the other slots. If you have eager kiddos they can easily peel off multiple numbers at a time.In addition, one of the fishes' eyes was labeled with 2 numbers but the smaller paper wouldn't come off (it was all one piece instead of 2) so the two numbers came up together. Lastly, the colors kind of bleed onto each other. Probably not a big deal for a smaller kid but I'm a little OCD and that drove me nuts. This is even after ensuring the color I was working on was well coated.I suggest you put on the darker colors first and work your way to the lighter colors. For whatever reason I chose to do white first and I should have done it last.I didn't really have trouble getting the sand out of the bottle but it would get stuck a little from time to time. All I did was make the bottle go back up right and then turn it upside down again giving it small puffs of air with soft squeezes. This worked well for me.It's a bit messy too so I recommend putting something under it. In my opinion, it's not easy saving the leftover sand (the colors start mixing together) so small amounts at a time with finger pats work best.Overall it's a good set for the price. Definitely for older more patient kiddos.

A fun, unique craft
This sand art color by number is such a fun craft. My kid had never done anything like it before. It works super well and was easy to use, but still time consuming enough to make it a nice project to keep her occupied and for awhile. Applying the sand on the right spots was very engaging for her and was a satisfying sensory experience, too.

Great First Sand Craft!
This is a great starter sand art craft! Each of the pictures is number coded, so it's like a color by number but with sand! You simply peel the numbered stickers off then pour the correct color of sand on the spots you've revealed and then dump the excess sand off onto another sheet of paper or cookie sheet/tray to pour it back into the bottle. it's a little tricky to get the stickers off but once you get the hang of it, it gets easier. I'll update with pictures when we craft with this again, I had taken pictures but they've disappeared somehow! I would recommend this to others and I feel it's giftable to any artist age 5+! Hope this has helped you!

So proud!
I gave this set to my bestie for her 2 little girls and they (ages 4 and 6) absolutely loved it. They had so much fun creating art and even hung them up in their bedrooms when they were done.

Fun but takes patience plus hand strength & you need a tray & extra containers
The media could not be loaded. My mom and I enjoy doing fun little arts and crafts activities occasionally. Even if they're officially supposedly for kids.Cuz we're kids at heart by golly. Makes life more fun.Today we checked out this ready to learn sand art kit. As you can see from the photos, you get a good amount of sand of different colors that are numbered according to the paint by number style sticker sheets that you use to pull off the little stickers and then pour on the sand. You also receive a couple of wooden sticks that will help you take off the teensy-tiny pieces of sticker in some cases. Fingers, especially adult arthritic fingers that also have a tremor like ours, aren't designed for taking off the tiniest stickers. But the wooden sticks help.I recommend after trying this that rather than you going in order of 1 to 10 or whatever, you do find the numbers with the tiniest stickers and do each of those first. The holes on the nice plastic bottles are really tiny so it takes a lot of finger strength to squeeze out the sand. That might be fine for most kids but it does take a lot of patience as a result. And if you plan to use this with elderly people or like me who have similar disabilities then the squeezing can literally be painful. The instructions recommend you use a tray to keep the excess of each sand color you use so that you'll have enough for sure for the other sand paintings. However they don't include a tray. Even a cardboard one would have been nice. We wound up using the box itself which was okay, but some of the extremely small grains of sand would get stuck in the little openings of the corners. The instructions also recommend that you save each color of the excess sand in an extra container so that you will have enough for the next paintings. They don't include those either. I suppose a plastic bag would be okay but little plastic containers with lids would probably be better. There's no way you can get the sand back into the original bottles. If you do find a container to put your excess sand into, I suggest taking a piece of just regular printer paper, folding it in half, pouring the sand onto that first and then using that like a kind of funnel to get the sand into your container. We decided to make the octopus first for my friend in Alaska who loves octopi. I love octopi too, but she collects them.Because of our hands we lasted through three numbers I think and now we're saving the rest to do another day. Kids of an age with a lower attention span or with ADHD or just normal kids who really want things to go quickly might need breaks with this too. Some might just get totally into it in the Zen moment. This is a nice arts and crafts kit set mostly. the cardboard is nice and thick , the stickers on it are are well made and the little blue frames are cute they're plastic. The sea theme is cool.Just keep in mind the limitations and what items you'll need extra of if you want to do it right. This would be a nice gift for I'd say an older child. it can even be used in math for homeschooling. Or it could be good for any age who wants to try sand art.Happy crafting all!
