Minolta Pro Shot 16 Mega Pixel HD Digital Camera with 53x Optical Zoom, Full 1080p HD Video & 16GB SD Card, MN53Z, Purple

I bought this lightly used for $84. The battery was bad and would not hold a charge. I bought three batteries and a charger. These seem to hold a charge forever.I can operate the camera with my phone or by hand. The big thing is that it has a 53x optical zoom. Great, clear pictures. It also has a 4x digital zoom. I turned that off.It is a great camera at a great price, especially used.

***Update - I am currently in Ireland and the camera is not working. The screen is not showing anything other than the menu options. If I try to take a photo, it's completely black. Tried different setting, removing the battery and memory card, and even did thefactory reset. Nothing. So it is useless 6 months after purchasing it.***Bought this specifically for a trip to Africa and it worked very well. I made sure I had extra batteries with me and was able to take >2800 photos using a 16GB chip. My only complaint was that the screen is very hard to see in sunny situations. It would have been nice to have an actual viewfinder on those days. Zoom was incredible for not having to lug around a big lens! The two lion photos give you a good idea of how close you can get. Even the detail on Mt Kenya was amazing.

Simple sure shot camera!

The media could not be loaded. This is a good Camera once you get beyond the bad battery they send with it. I sent the first camera back because it would not work right out of the box, it said 100% charged but would shut itself down immediately, contacted Amazon they had me do a return and overnighted me a new one, and set up a UPS pick up at my house for the old one, I do have Prime. Completely charged battery on new one worked and took good pics for a few hours then started shutting down, same as before, so I went to I bought 2 new Kaster batteries and a charger, have been using them for 3 days now, no issues. My granddaughter was very satisfied and impressed with this camera.

Absolute junk. Bought this for a vacation trip. Has been charging since I started the trip. Turns on for a very brief moment, then shuts off. In order to return it I either have to use UPS - an adult has to be present when it's picked up - picked up where? I'm traveling. NO local UPS where I am at. Or, I could put it in an Amazon Locker, but I can't print a label, and, there is no close Amazon Locker. Very disappointed. And out quite a bit of money. Also, no camera for my trip.

When zoomed in and you want to focus on anything closer than the farthest objects, 9 out of 10 times it won't focus on your desired subjects . Also, the zoom function sounds like things are broken inside. Loose lens inside if you shake the camera. Not so good in low light or indoors. Photos rarely clear & sharp.
