I thought the holes were too close together at first as my old seat they're much further apart but the way it mounts allows for this even though the holes are 110mm apart and the diagram showed bigged. However, fitted it on fine and the little nut tool is a god-send having messed around blind using long-nose pliers in the past. Quality feels decent enough and the soft close is very soft. Happy

Although the seat itself seems to be good quality, the hardware it came with was substandard and I ended up replacing it with metal fittings from another store. It has now been 10 months since we installed it and the soft close function has stopped working.

Delivery was good and on time and product quality was good and no issues with how the product worked

As per several reviews, we too had installed a Cooke & Lewis Fabian toilet in 2012. The seat was fine but it was no longer soft closing so after searching on line we decided to bite the bullet and pay nearly £45 for this. Installation was easy. The seat sits more further forward from the tank, easier for cleaning and the hinges tighten from above which is good because my husband no longer has the strength in his hands to tighten from behind the bowl and for this model it’s a bit awkward too. The seat is smaller than the original and we only installed it yesterday but it fits well and overall we are happy with the result.

If you are unlucky like me and have got the Cooke & Lewis Fabienne Alpine toilet at home you’ll know the seat it comes with breaks very quickly. Managed to get this replacement and was easy to install and fits almost perfectly (the toilet is notoriously awkward to find a perfect match). Very happy!
