Very nice and practical Christmas gift! We gave 3 as gifts, and they were well received!

Nicely wheighted, rubberised bottom and usable grip. Will straighten and shapen your dullest blades to a working edge for food prep. (havent been able to acheive hair shaving sharp) scissor angle is not intuitive and hard to manage.

This is a very good sharpener. The design makes it easy to store (about 9 inches long and an inch wide), but provides a solid base and grip for sharpening. The instructions emphasize using only moderate pressure, since the tungsten side shaves steel very well. Once the edge is shaped, the ceramic side hones the blade to a keen edge. This is one of the few that will sharpen the suduko (15 degree) knives also. There is a flat tungsten surface that works with scissors. The design keeps you hand at a safe distance from the blade and is quite stable.

Works extremely well. Knives slice tomato paper thin like a dream.

Ended up returning this sharpener as it was just weird to use. I'm used to the type that has a stone roller inside and you just hold the knife against the slanted edge and the rollers do the work for you. This doesn't work that way and it was too hard to figure out the proper angle and the harsh sound it makes seems like you're doing it wrong and wrecking your knife. It stressed me out so I returned it. Sorry.

Easy to use and worked well for kitchen scissors and both western and Asian knives.

Works pretty much as expected. Sharpens knives with minimal roughness. Scissor cutter did not really sharpen. But good buy given the inexpensive price.

I have several knife sharpeners.This one is easier to use.Does a great job for scissors serrated and regular knife edges.I recommend.
