Overall this is a good wireless cat water fountain. It is quiet, and the motion sensor is sufficiently sensitive. When placed in a high foot traffic area with two cats, it can typically go 8-10 days between charges with the right sensor settings. It took a few days for my cats to get used to it, but now they drink exclusively from the fountain. I couldn't go back to a regular bowl if I tried.With this said, there are a few issues that potential buyers need to note:First, there is no latching mechanism for the top portion of the fountain. This can make picking up the fountain from the floor a bit precarious if there is still a substantial amount of water in the reservoir. Always pick the unit up from the bottom of the base.Secondly, when it comes to cleaning, the top portion of the fountain that contains the rechargeable battery cannot be submerged in water. It must be hand wiped and immediately dried.Thirdly, the filter change indicator is solely based on time. There is no mechanism for detecting how "dirty" the filter is in actuality. I have found that the timer is correct as often as it is not. It is always a good idea to run an older filter under hot water for a bit and then inspect it. I can often get an additional cycle out of the filter.Finally, the pump mechanism isn't as modular as slightly more expensive fountains where the pump is a self-contained unit easily separated from the fountain housing. In other words, you can't simply pull out the pump in a single step--it has to be manually disassembled from the fountain housing for deep cleaning.If you can live with these issues (and honestly it isn't bad), then this unit will likely be a good choice, especially if you want an inexpensive test of whether or not your cats will like an automatic fountain.

Everything else about this fountain was great: worked as advertised; and my cats learned to "sneak up" on it, so that the fountain would not start running. But there is NO way we will be replacing filters every 12 days! Forgot to order replacement filters, so that took another few days. Power ran out the same day that I was going to replace the filter, so I did both at the same time. Will be changing the filter each time recharge is needed going forward.

I love this pet fountain. I have one upstairs for my elder cats. I purchased a different one for downstairs but it stopped working after a couple of months. I just purchased this particular fountain again for my downstairs. I love this fountain, it is easy to clean, quiet and has a sensor that turns on when your animal approaches and turns off when they walk away. Would highly recommend.

I was having a problem with the first one I purchased but when I told them about it they said they would replace immediately and they did the second one works great and yes I would recommend it.
