Deluxe Stainless Steel STRAIGHT RAZOR & SHAVING BRUSH STAND from Super Safety Razors

I bought this mostly because I got tired of not having a place for the straight razor I purchased & my lather brush. I found this, at $25.88, and figured either I buy it at this price on Amazon Prime or buy it for nearly as much at a cheaper price but with shipping would bring it up to almost as much. It finally came. It is of solid make with a nice finish to it. The stand screws perfectly into the base & is easily broken down for easy storage if I have to. It took me a moment or two to figure out how to put my brush on and how to properly position my straight razor properly. While it doesn't hold my razer as well as I would have liked, it is a nice addition to my lather brush, straight razor, & lather bowel. I will quote Ceasar from Mel Brooks' History of the World Part 1: It's nice. Nothing Thrilling But nice. If you want something basic but practical for your lather brush & straight razor, than this is it.*******Update******* I just bought the Chrome Shave Brush Holder from Super Safty Razors through Amazon. While a bit redundant if you have bought The Deluxe Stainless Steeel Straight Razor & Shaving Brush Stand since one can store the Shave Brush on it. But having it allows one to store an extra Shave brush if you have multiple Shave Brushes that you use. And that never hurts.

Received this product today in good order and well packaged. With the postal strike in firmly in place in South Africa, I anticipated a very long delay but the delivery happened one day later than the stipulated date. This was definitely a good start. The stand is as advertised and is vey well put together. The base provides a heft to it that I was originally concerned with when I placed the order. It won't topple over unless deliberately knocked over. My Dovo ' straight razor fits perfectly with space to spare making putting it in and removing it a simple affair. My Prince brush by WSP does not fit into the slot at the point of the handle but slots in easily if I place it at the point where the brush meets handle. Not ideal but it works. The stand is not as glossy as it appears in the picture have a slightly glossy satin sheen to it. The only complaint that I have is that the notch on the base to hold the tang and keep the razor in place is not aligned with the slot, so my razor stands at an angle. A bit irritating but all in all not problematic. Over all, I would recommend this product as a solid stand that looks good and does what it says it does.

The Deluxe Stainless Steel STRAIGHT RAZOR & SHAVING BRUSH STAND from Super Safety Razors is a nice razor stand. I use it for my safety razor instead of my shave brush or straight razor. The stand weighs 7.7oz (217g), stands 5.75 inches (14.5cm) tall, has base with a diameter of 2.5inches (6cm) & the hanging arm is 3.5inches (9cm) across. The hole in the arm that’s designed for the straight razor is 1.25inches (3cm) x 1.7inches (2cm) solo you could hang/slip a safety razor through this hole. There is no padding or covering on the bottom of the base. The base bottom & edges are smooth ‘ & rounded, but if you’re worried about scratching your counter top, you could add a piece of felt or thin foam rubber.After 7 years (November 2012) of use, the stand has held up very well. There is small pits of rust, but overall is still in pretty nice shape. If I’d wipe it down more often, I’m sure it would still look like new.

In terms of functionality, this product is top-notch. It stores a shaving brush and single-bladed straight razor in the most efficient way possible. The design is space-saving (holding the razor upright instead of on an angle) and works as advertised. It is compatible with the Parker SRX foldable straight blade, and works as one would expect.The aesthetic of the product is decent, but it feels low-quality when held. Considering the price, I should not have had high expectations, but this is just my personal observation.

When I ordered this, I was a little annoyed with the price and only purchased it because I knew I wouldn't need to buy one again and I wanted to be sure my expensive brush and razor were cared for.When I received it, I was actually pretty happy with it. It's very solid and has a decent amount of weight to it. I have to put this stand, with the razor and brush on it, in my medicine cabinet as my bathroom is small. I've almost come to enjoy the ritual of opening the cabinet and taking it out before a shave. The grooves in the middle ensure a comfortably secure grip and, again, it feels very solid and not cheap.All in all I would purchase it again. It protects my brush and razor well and it even looks pretty sharp with the two items on it.

yes, stainless steel will rust if its in a very humid environment, unless its high grade SS.the rust will be way less significant for sure.what i did, was give it a light coat of oil right out of the box just to make sure.for the most part, people arent gonna waste great material, time, and money to produce products in high quality SS for things like this.this was the only stainless stand i could find on amazon which held a cut-throat razor and brush, at least without a gouged price...works just as it should.fits perfectly into the arrangement of items on the countertop

Works great for my Baxter safety razor and silver tip badger brush. I chose this stand because of the stainless steel and closed shave handle slot. I prefer the stainless finish over chrome since chrome tends to rust. I was concerned because the description says "20-25mm brush knots" My brush is ~28mm/1.1" and it fits perfectly. The slot for the shave handle is ~16mm/.650" ( a little bigger than 5/8" .625") I like that you can't accidentally knock the razor off the stand, mine has a short handle, but if you have a longer handled razor, there's a little divot for the razor handle. The base has a nice weight and balanced nicely with the brush and razor.
