Worth The Purchase
Took a little patience and a lot of assistance from OVOHome Systems to help set up my NVR, it was well worth the wait. The system works great along with the 8 Digoo cameras I have set up to cover the exterior of my home. I'm very impressed with the amount of big system features in such a small and compact product. The camera playback is great in the day and night time. This system is well worth the purchase if you are willing to take the time work through the sync issues. I can log in from anywhere to check how things are going with my phone using the Digoo App as well as logging into the NVR directly. The NVR allows you to view multiple cameras at once. You can select cameras to record directly to you phone or the NVR hard drive (sold separately). I purchased a 2 TB hard drive from amazon to compliment my NVR.

It may work from some, but not for me. Beware.
Unit randomly fails to connect to my cameras, listing them as "offline" when the cameras and the network are online and working just fine. I have the app that came with the cameras (Wansview) and can view them anytime so I know they are working. I also have an app on my computer that I can use to view and record and that works. I wanted an NVR to be able to record the cameras without having an entire computer running 24/7. This unit is so unreliable that it's worthless. Customer Support is nearly non-existent. Use is not intuitive and the English is nearly incomprehensible. Buyer beware.

this product will boost your self-esteem, IF you manage to figure out how to get it to work
The install is difficult, and the manual is VERY short. Here are some pointers:1. I couldn’t get the NVR to auto-find ("quick-set") and connect to my POE wired cameras. I tried everything using the “wizard”, almost gave up completely, then I found a MUCH easier way – on the upper Left camera list, just R click on the camera to install. There is a “SET” option. Under that, choose Add, then Search. Add the ONVIF cameras from there. Easier to manually install the cameras.2. After setting it up, I read thru others’ reviews, and totally agree with the person who recommended setting it up on a PC on your LAN, rather than the GUI on the NVR box (so that you have access to a proper keyboard)3. AFAIK, to use their drivers, you have to use Internet Explorer, not Edge, not Chrome. In Windows 10, type “internet” in the lower left “type here to search” box.4. I also was totally freaked out when I downloaded the driver from the NVR webpage. Windows Defender went berserk and quarantined the file, made me reboot, etc. I was going to send back the NVR, but then at the xmeye website there was a driver that downloaded fine without any alarms from Windows. I am still worried, but “you can’t take it with you” as they say. I'm pretty sure my whole LAN is now exposed to the entire world heh.5. It works perfectly fine with these three cameras: a. SV3C Full HD 1080P Bullet Outdoor Security Camera Poe IP Camera,1920X1080 Resolution,20Meter Night Vision,IP66 Waterproof,Support Remote Viewed by Iphone,Andriod Phone,Pad and Windows PC b. LIONVIS Bullet IP Camera POE HD 1080P IP67 Waterproof Outdoor Indoor Day Night Vision Home Security Camera c. Amcrest IP2M-841 ProHD 1080P (1920TVL) Wireless WiFi IP Camera, Black 6. I can’t get access outside my LAN, and i don't want to use the xmeye software. I have tried many different port forwarding and no success. I can get to the login page, meaning the forwarding is working, but I get “can’t find the device” after username/password entry. I might have to send it back.7. EDIT: I got it to work from outside the LAN using the tip from Don in reviews (bonus tip: Amazon user reviews are great sources of knowledge!) https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R2C3CP33Z9YWYO/ref=cm_cr_getr_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B01N8178LGI had everything working inside my LAN, using IE11. I had a DDNS working just fine, and forwarded a port to my NVR. Inside the lan, the port forwarding worked fine, exposing the NVR. However, using my DDNS WAN address, I kept landing on the NVR home page but after logging in, kept getting the “can’t find device” error. I tried another router and lots of various port forwarding. FINALLY, I found the above review, forwarded port 34567 also to the NVR, and it instantly worked. WAHOO!

Provides bare minimum level of NVR functionality
Very cumbersome to use. You can get it to work, but when you consider that you have to add a power supply and a hardrive, you're already approaching the cost of a QNAP or Synolgy system which are far more capable, much easier to set up, better support, and better expandability. I'd have a hard time recommending this to anyone but the most budget strapped. For example, there's 2 USB ports and the U/I supports a mouse, but not a keyboard. Have fun entering your log-in and configuration info on a mouse controlled screen keyboard. Using their web interface plugins was near impossible to get working, and violates all computer security best practices. Load their SW and plugins only on a throw away computer.I was able to get it to mostly work with an recent model Amcrest PTZ camera, and I was able to get partial functionality using a Dericam camera, both using the ONVIF protocol. After all the frustration, I gave mine away.
