Dear customer, yes, that cardboard is indeed the bottom of the shoulder bag, it can make the bottom more flat. It is hidden between the two layers of cloth of the shoulder bag. Because the two pieces of cardboard are folded during transportation. You can adjust it slightly to spread the two pieces of cardboard flat. In this way, the bottom of the shoulder bag can be well flat.

Q: Id like to know witch purse is the largest and if i i purchase the largest purse and duffelbag together is there a deal?

It was just used to keep it flat during shipping. Otherwise one of the Geo shapes would loosen up.
