Its such good quality, I love this but pricey!
Every year I would buy up a few bottles from the Gold winners in the NYIOOC competition and this is one of them. Of course it is super good, but it is quite pricey so I am not sure if I would purchase it again. The taste is very mild, and personally, I prefer a stronger darker and more peppery taste but nevertheless this is still very good.

Good, but not sure if the cost is worth it.
The olive oil was really good, but I'm not sure it tasted different enough to me for me to buy it regularly. I could see it being great as part of a gift or for a special occasion.

Extremely expensive olive oil
The cost of Taibi oil is extremely expensive for olive oil, even buying from a small orchard in Sicily. In Sicily, a one litre can of top quality organic oil costs about $12. This Taibi oil is a bottle half that size so worth about $6. Can the cost of shipping really be over $40? I don't think so.Another firstclass oil from Sicily available on Amazon for only $20.79 is Mandranova Biancolilla Extra Virgin Olive Oil 17 oz.Olive oil is bottled and released for sale two to five months after pressing. For example, oil that was pressed in the fall of 2010 - as this oil is dated - came to market from February to May of 2011.The shelf life of most extra-virgin olive oils is anywhere from 1 year to 18 months from the bottling date, but it is always a good idea to do as the locals do and buy fresh oil when the new release comes to market.Unlike wine, olive oil does not improve with age, so you can assume a 4-6 month shelf life for opened bottles, and a full year in a sealed bottle from one release date to the next.If you purchase an olive oil that is stronger than you like, just set it aside for a few months and then taste it again. Olive oils gradually mellow over the course of the year.Because olive oil is susceptible to deterioration from air, you may be better off purchasing olive oil frequently, in smaller quantities, rather than purchasing one large container. Most top producers put their oil into dark glass bottles or clear bottles that are covered in a foil wrap. Clear glass bottles allow damaging light to affect the oil, bleaching the color and souring the flavor. Keep your oils away from heat sources, such as a radiator, the backsplash of your stove, or the sun.It is best to keep your olive oil at a slightly cool temperature that does not fluctuate ...but do not refrigerate it.See also the new book: Extra Virginity: The Sublime and Scandalous World of Olive Oil by Tom Mueller.

Good Price for a Good EVOO!
This is a very good EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil), with a strong peppery afterkick in the back of the throat that is one of the earmarks of a good EVOO. I decided to try it because its size, 3.3 fl oz, made the price affordable enough for me to try a good EVOO without spending too much. I would definitely buy this again. My only reservation is that I have had better-tasting/higher quality EVOO, but not at this price point. I am happy with using it for salad dressings, as well as that finishing, emulsifying touch of oil that can be added to so many dishes.

A beautiful bottle!
This was a Christmas gift and my son was thrilled. It arrived quickly and was packed for safe arrival. I haven't hard about taste yet, but I am sure it is a real winner!!!

the best Olive Oil I ever tried
I am a collector of Olive Oil with a lot of experience. This is thee best of all with soft taste of fresh Olives without any bitterness . The only negative point is the price for this 500ml bottle. BUT I WILL BUY AGAIN. I ALREADY BOUGHT TWO BOTTLES.

Thick, rich, delicious...I sip it as a treat
Most delicious olive oil I have ever tasted. I falls into the class of one of the greatest things on the planet to taste and experience and everyone afford....others include great reggiano parmesan, single malt scotch, LaTour, Chateau d'Yquem, Spring Ocean caught Salmon (Springers) from Oregon.
