I got this Yale stainless steel tumbler as a high school graduation gift for my son's best friend, since they're all starting college this fall. He absolutely loved it! I was looking for a good coffee cup that had some kind of rubber coating, something that wasn't straight metal. Nothing in the item description or reviews specify, but the pics looked a little rubber so took a chance. This does have a silicone/rubber-like exterior that is supple to the touch. Everything seems well made and I like the lid. I had to take a star off bc there's a couple weird things about the cup. First-off, it says it's "cup holder friendly," but this thing has a weird square bottom that you don't really see in the pics the tapers to round at the top. And it's pretty wide. I can fit just the very bottom 1/4" into my cup holders. The rubbery outside grips fine, doesn't come out easily while driving or anything, just a weird design choice. Also, it doesn't seem to keep my coffee warm like my other cup. Keeps warm for a little while, but not hours. I think it's bc of how wide the cup is. It seems to dissipate pretty quickly. My other cup is really narrow and tall compared to this one. All-in-all, as an LSU fan, I'm OK with it, but it's not quite the cup I was hoping it would be.
