A fine Ganzo, but there's some confusion
There has been so much excitement about this knife that I figured there must be something about it that I couldn't see from the descriptions and pictures. Then I saw a review on YouTube which suggested that the F753 is about a quarter smaller than the G753, I decided I should get one. The one real problem with the Ganzo line is that its knives come in two sizes, big and bigger. A smaller Ganzo would be a treat.Imagine my chagrin when the knife arrived and it was the same size as the older 753. It's unquestionably an F753, so apparently there are two sizes with the same model number. I would prefer the smaller one for regular carry. (Though truth be known, I'd prefer smaller versions of several Ganzo designs, such as the G -- now F -- 727 or the G745 or the G/F739.)As a knife, it's just fine. Ganzos tend to be. I've never gotten one -- I have more than a dozen -- that wasn't, though in the early days it was sometimes necessary to back off the pivot a millionth of a turn or pull the scales to discipline the omega springs. This one, like most of them (and all the ones I've encountered of current manufacture), arrived smooth and easy opening and with springs that while not as light as I'd choose were good enough that I haven't had to take it apart. It arrived sharp -- I've gotten only one Ganzo that wasn't acceptably sharp upon arrival -- and with the carbon fiber scales is stury and elegant. The exquisite Bird and Frankie, known on YouTube as Birdshot IV, enthused over this knife. As a rule that means you won't go too far wrong in getting it, and indeed I didn't go too far wrong in acquiring mine. But I still don't see what the fuss is about. Many reviews carry a headline saying that it's the "best Ganzo yet," and I just don't see it. It's a Ganzo, with all that the name entails. But the blade:handle ratio is to me a little deficient. The blade shape isn't all that much to my liking. I'm trying to figure out by what criterion or criteria this is the best Ganzo or even a better Ganzo than a half dozen others I like better. Apparently the blue anodized details are the shiny things that have turned so many heads.Don't get me wrong: I'm glad to have it. It's a dandy nice at an absurdly low price. But some other Ganzos are better knives at just as low a price.UPDATE: I just now received, from across the waves, one of the smaller Ganzo F753s. It is the F753M1, not the F7531. And it is exquisite. It's in G10 instead of carbon fiber, but it's very nice G10. And it is indeed a good bit smaller than the F753. Just right for use as a pocket knife. And in my estimation a much better blade-to-handle ratio, which is to say they redused the handle more than they did the blade. This one is a winner, if you don't mind a blade that's all belly. Some do, some don't. Anyway, it's a really nice nife, and I suspect it will make it to the Amazon listings in due course. But do pay close attention so that you get the model you're after.

My first axis lock
I just received this knife. It fits perfectly in my hand. Size large glove. Once I figured out the technique of the axis lock I am flipping this knife open and closed with ease. It took me about 10 minutes to master this technique. The fit and finish is very good. Blade alignment and lock up is spot on. The materials used in construction is high quality. Other higher priced knives I own do not compare to the looks and function of this knife. I have been watching reviews of this knife for awhile now and I am so glad I finally pulled the trigger on the purchase. I would really like to own a benchmade knife one day but I haven't seen a benchmade knife review on any of their knives as handsome as this one. Once you get this beauty in your hand call the doctor because you won't be able to put it down.

budget steal
exceptional for the price. mine came with a couple small cracks or deep scratches around the pivot on one side, but at this price/quality ratio im not really worried about it. the lockup is as solid or better than my griptilian, blade is sharp, scales and liners line up very well. Surprising fit and finish for this cheap. blade grinds are pretty good and finish is decent. Ergonomics and action are quite nice.

bang for your buck
For the money, nothing tops this knife. Quick disclaimer - I enjoy knives as nothing more than a casual hobby- kitchen, and folding - I own Shun, Kershaw, CRKT, Wusthof, Spyderco, etc... Fit and finish is on point. It came sharp out of the box - not razor sharp, but more than adequate. My business partner has a Benchmade that while in comparison, yes it does weigh less, this Ganzo knife handle is indeed milled and is not particularly heavy. The steel is not the best, but is also not low quality by any means 440C is SERVICEABLE - key words here - It will take an edge, but will need sharpened more often. Opens easily, little drag at first, but smooths out over time. Invest in a cheap torx multi-tool to make small adjustments and you're golden. This is my first Ganzo, but definitely not the last. Also, the "axis-lock" is fine. It's not "too stiff" like many say. It's just different, and it works well.

The G10 version is probably a better way to go
For $20 you really can't beat this. Mine arrived sharp, closed centered, and only a little drag when opening / closing (so do a lot of the more expensive knives). The so called carbon fiber is not, but I did not really expect it to be. The G10 version is probably a better way to go. The axis lock works good, and it's perfectly legal since Benchmade's patent has run out. Mine weighed 125 grams, so the weight is very reasonable.

Just an amazing knife for the price
Just an amazing knife for the price. I have a couple of knives 5,6&7 times the price, so I do have a comparison. Obviously the materials are not that of a $150 knife but the build quality is awesome and the 440c steel will do everything you need it to. Have had to stop looking at their other products in fear I might end up with 10 new knives.

Not bad.
Still not convinced this is real carbon fiber, but... with that said, it looks really good. Needed to make a slight adjustment to the pivot screw and its buttery smooth. The liner lock is a bit stiff however it works fine. This is a fairly large knife, probably not suited for EDC, its more of a backpack knife, its very thick. Compared to my Kershaw dividend there is no comparison when it comes to what Im going to carry for my EDC. Cost, not a bad value for the money. Looks good, cuts open boxes well and will be good for daily tasks. Love the anodized blue details, one reason why I purchased it.

I would rate this as one of the best price to quality knives I've ever bought
I've bought all sorts of knives in the $1-$100 price range. I would rate this as one of the best price to quality knives I've ever bought. I rank it as the best knife I've bought in the under $30 range. It's a bit heavy and it may be too big for some, but if the size and weight isn't a concern, it's great!

Sehr stylisches Messer
